Abstract: An inductor assembly includes a substrate that is configured to circulate coolant; an outer cylindrical housing arranged on the substrate and defining an internal cavity; a wound inductor core arranged in internal cavity; a condenser arranged between the wound inductor core and the substrate; and a working fluid disposed in the internal cavity and in contact with each of the inductor core and the condenser. The condenser is configured to condense vaporized working fluid as it traverses through the condenser.

Abstract: A cooling system comprises an electronics module and a duct. The electronics module produces more heat at a first location than at a second location, and is rated to a safe operating temperature. The duct surrounds the electronics module, and has a shaped baffle with a constricted region near the first location and an open region near the second location. The expanded region has greater cross-sectional flow area than the constricted region. Airflow through the duct cools both the first location and the second location to within an efficiency margin below the safe operating temperature.

Abstract: A rotor body for a high-speed generator includes a rotor body with interior and exterior surfaces, a coolant inlet and outlet, and a rotor cooling path for actively cooling the rotor body. The coolant inlet and outlet extend between the interior and exterior surfaces. An interior segment of the rotor cooling path fluidly couples the coolant inlet and coolant outlet and is bounded by the rotor body interior surface. An exterior segment of the cooling path is bounded by the rotor body exterior surface and fluidly couples the coolant outlet an environment external to the rotor body.
