摘要： Sterically pure .beta.-triazolyl carbinols of the general structure ##STR1## where R is not hydrogen, in particular the R*, S*-diastereomer, are obtained by diastereoselective reduction of the corresponding .alpha.-triazolylketone with a complex hydride which reduces ketones to alcohols, in the presence of a Lewis acid in a non-polar solvent.
