    摘要: When each of a plurality of peers mutually connected through a network receives connection of a new peer, each peer forms group information in which the new peer has been grouped on the basis of comparison of distances on the network among three peers of the own peer, a representative peer of an existing group, and the new peer. When the data is transmitted from the own peer, path information in which destination information of each group which has been grouped on the basis of the group information and the own peer have been registered is formed and transmitted together with the data to the representative peer of each group. When distribution information is relayed from another peer, if the own peer is included in the destination information, the reception data is fetched and the own peer is deleted, thereafter, distribution information in which the destination information of each group which has been grouped on the basis of the group information and the own peer have been registered is formed and transmitted together with the data to the representative peer of each group.

    摘要: In a communication control system a reception-side terminal sends back transmission time information included in a transmission packet as an acknowledgment to a transmission-side terminal. The transmission-side terminal determines whether a response time, obtained from the transmission time information, is shorter than a threshold. When the response time is shorter, the transmission-side terminal controls so as to transmit to the reception-side terminal a larger number of packets than the number of packets upon transmission of the transmission packet, or to transmit the same number of packets as the number of packets upon transmission of the transmission packet.

    摘要: An electronic mail having thereon an URL of a conference host peer machine for automatically taking part in a conference by clicking once is sent to a plurality of conferee peer machines. A conferee peer machine at a shortest time location is searched through communication tests from the conference host peer machine to distribute data. After the distribution of data, remaining conferee peer machines are informed that the data distributed conferee peer machine is a mirror of the remaining conferee peer machines, and a conferee peer machine at a shortest time location is searched through communication tests from the conference host peer machine and from the mirror to distribute data. The above processes are repeated until data distribution completes.

    摘要: A camera installation position evaluating system includes a processor, the processor executing a process including setting a virtual plane orthogonal to the optic axis of a camera mounted on a camera mounted object, generating virtually a camera image to be captured by the camera, with use of data about a three-dimensional model of the camera mounted object, data about the virtual plane set by the setting and parameters of the camera, and computing a boundary between an area of the three-dimensional model of the camera mounted object and an area of the virtual plane set by the setting, on the camera image generated by the generating. Accordingly, the camera installation position evaluating system is able to quantitatively obtain the camera's view range at the present camera installation position based on the computed boundary.

Two images of a present frame image and a previous frame image which were photographed are successively stored in an image storing unit. A vehicle detecting unit detects a motion of a license plate in a head portion of the running vehicle on the basis of the present frame image and the previous frame image stored in the image storing unit. A character recognizing unit recognizes all of the characters on the license plate on the basis of a dictionary in which character images of all of the characters used for the license plate have been registered and an image in a license plate area detected by the vehicle detecting unit by collating with the character images registered in the dictionary.
