    摘要: In an article management apparatus in which the weight of a bottle, including content, placed on a weighing scale is measured and tag data of a radio tag, indicating content of the bottle, which is affixed on the bottle is read out in a non-contact manner by a radio tag reading section through an antenna when the bottle is placed on the weighing scale, a compound data for discriminating whether or not content in a bottle is compoundable with contents in other bottles is stored. It is determined, based on the compound data stored, whether content of a first bottle on which a first radio tag is affixed can be compounded with content of a second bottle on which a second radio tag is affixed when the radio tag reading section reads out tag data of first and second radio tags.

    摘要: According to one embodiment, a coordinate recognition apparatus includes a detection device, a first calculation section, a second calculation section, and a setting section. The detection device detects an operation for an operation area. The first calculation section calculates coordinates of an operation position by a user on the basis of the detection result of the detection device. The second calculation section calculates the smoothed coordinates by smoothing a particular number m (m>0) of samples among the coordinates calculated by the first calculation section counted from the new one in a calculation order. The setting section sets a value of the number m of samples to be smaller as the speed of movement of the operation position is higher.

    摘要: In a bar code reading apparatus, a laser beam emitted from a laser beam source disposed in a casing is reflected by a rotational mirror to scan a bar code. The reflected laser beam is reflected by a fixed scan mirror having four mirror members continually arranged with given angles therebetween, and the resultant beams are irradiated outward through a read window formed in the casing. Multiple scan lines in multiple directions are obtained on a normal plane to the read window. These scan lines consist of two groups of vertical scan lines in the normal plane, and two groups of oblique scan lines inclined at a given angle with respect to the horizontal direction.

    摘要: According to one embodiment, the flow line recognition system includes a first device, a first recording unit, a second device, a second recording unit and a generation unit. The first device detects a position of a moving object in a monitoring area by laser scanning. The second device detects a position of the moving object in a specific area, which is a part of the monitoring area, more accurately than the first device. The generation unit generates flow line information indicative of a path of the moving object moving in the monitoring area, based on the moving object information for the monitoring area recorded in the first recording unit, and the moving object information for the specific area recorded in the second recording unit.

    摘要: A bar code scanning apparatus having a laser beam source 1, a scanner 7 for scanning a laser beam 2 emitted from the laser beam source 1 in an scan angle range of -.theta..sub.1 to +(.theta..sub.1 +.theta..sub.2) relative to the laser beam, a window 5 substantially perpendicular to a counter surface and which transmits therethrough scan beams scanned by the scanner 7 to the exterior of the reader, a plurality of first fixed mirrors 8A, 8B and 8C for dividing scan beams, which are generated within the scan angle range of -.theta..sub.1 to +.theta..sub.1, into a plurality of scanning lines generally symmetric with respect to the laser beam and emitting the scanning lines from the window 5, and a plurality of second fixed mirrors 26A, 26B1 and 26B2 for dividing scan beams which are generated within the scan angle range of +.theta..sub.1 to +.theta..sub.2 and emitting the resulting scanning lines from the window 5 toward a checkout counter. Thus, it is possible to permit reading of a bar code by merely moving a commodity taken out from an incoming-side basket into an outgoing-side basket without changing the manner of holding the commodity and without changing the direction of the commodity.
