摘要： A panel for a multi-panel display effectively reduces the width of its connecting portion. The panel for a multi-panel display comprises a substrate, a display element mounted on the substrate, a glass cover attached to the substrate, and a recess in the substrate between the display element and an end of the substrate, wherein the glass cover is attached to the substrate within the recess. The panel for a multi-panel display of the present invention reduces the width of the connecting portion so that a high quality continuous screen image formed on two panels can be obtained.

摘要： A foldable display apparatus includes a bendable display panel which folds with respect to a folding axis. The display panel includes a plurality of display devices and a window layer. Each of the display devices includes a plurality of pixels each including a plurality of color elements having different colors from each other. A plurality of color elements of a same color is linearly arranged in a direct line direction which is non-parallel to the folding axis. The window layer includes a soft material part including a soft material in a folding part of the display panel, and a protective window part other than the soft material part. The protective window part protects the display part of the plurality of display devices.

The foldable touch screen display apparatus may include a first display panel, a second display panel at least partially overlapping the first display panel, a transparent plate on at least one of the first and second display panels, a transparent window on the first and second display panels, a first touch panel at a lower part of the transparent window corresponding to the first display panel, and a second touch panel at the lower part of the transparent window corresponding to the second display panel. In example embodiments, the transparent window may be configured to protect the first and second display panels from external shocks and may be foldable as the first and second display panels are folded to each other.

The first plate includes a thin film transistor and an organic light emitting diode (“OLED”), and displays at least one portion of an image to be displayed. The second plate includes a thin film transistor and an OLED, and displays a second portion different from the first portion of the image. The first protecting window is on the first plate. The second protecting window is on the second plate. The soft material layer is between the first and second protecting windows. The intermediate layer is between the soft material layer and a side surface of the first protecting window, and between the soft material layer and the second protecting window.
