Abstract: This application discloses methods an apparatuses for sending and receiving uplink control information in the field of communications technology. In some implementations, a terminal device may receive first downlink control information (DCI) from a network device; determine, based on the received first DCI, that an uplink shared channel scheduled by using the first DCI is used to send only uplink control information (UCI); and send first UCI to the network device through the uplink shared channel scheduled by using the first DCI. In other words, the network device indicates to the terminal device by using DCI so that the terminal device can determine, based on an indication of the network device, whether the uplink shared channel scheduled by using the DCI is used to send only the UCI.

Abstract: Example methods and apparatus for sending an uplink control channel and receiving an uplink control channel are described. One example method for sending an uplink control channel includes determining a resource set to be used for an uplink control channel by a terminal device, where the uplink control channel carries uplink control information and a demodulation reference signal (DMRS). The resource set includes N resource subsets, each of the N resource subsets includes a plurality of consecutive symbols in time domain, and N is greater than or equal to 1. The terminal device determines, for each of the N resource subsets, a quantity of symbols used to carry the DMRS, where the quantity of symbols is one of at least two candidate symbol quantities. The terminal device sends the uplink control channel by using the resource set.

Abstract: An acknowledgement information sending method and apparatus is provided. A network device determines and sends downlink scheduling signaling, where the downlink scheduling signaling is used to schedule first downlink data to a terminal, the first downlink data is downlink data corresponding to acknowledgement information fed back on a same uplink control channel, and the downlink scheduling signaling is used to determine a first threshold, a second threshold, or a third threshold. The terminal receives the downlink scheduling signaling sent by the network device, determines, based on the first threshold, the second threshold, or the third threshold, the acknowledgement information corresponding to the first downlink data, and sends the acknowledgement information corresponding to the first downlink data to the network device on the same uplink control channel.

Abstract: This application provides a sequence-based signal processing method and apparatus. A sequence meeting a requirement for sending a signal by using a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) is determined, where the sequence is a sequence {fn} consisting of N elements, fn is an element in the sequence {fn}, and the determined sequence {fn} is a sequence meeting a preset condition; then, the N elements in the sequence {fn} are respectively mapped to N subcarriers to generate a first signal; and the first signal is sent. By using the determined sequence, when a signal is sent by using a PUCCH, a low sequence correlation can be maintained, and a relatively small peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) value and cubic metric (CM) value can also be maintained, thereby meeting a requirement of a communication application environment in which a signal is sent by using a PUCCH.

In this solution, one contention resource group may be divided into a plurality of terminal device groups, and terminal devices with a same DMRS may exist in two different terminal device groups.
