Abstract: A baseband unit may be arranged to serve a plurality of remotely located network devices. Network devices are connected to the baseband unit using a fronthaul network. The disclosed network device separates signals belonging to different users before quantizing and transmits the quantized separated signals to the baseband unit. The baseband unit may monitor the quality of the link of the fronthaul network and determine the number of bits used for quantizing.
