    Abstract: This application discloses a quantization parameter (QP) setting method includes: determining that a current coding unit (CU) is a chroma CU; and separately performing the following processing on at least one luma CU: when the at least one luma CU has no residual, and both a previous luma CU and a luma-chroma CU that have been encoded before the at least one luma CU in the current quantization group (QG) have no residual, modifying a basic QP of the at least one luma CU to a predictive QP; setting a basic QP of the current CU to the basic QP of the at least one luma CU corresponding to the preset position of the current CU; and performing encoding processing on the current CU based on the basic QP of the current CU.

    Abstract: This application discloses a prediction mode determining method and apparatus, an encoding device, and a decoding device. The method includes: determining a split mode for a current picture block; determining whether a first picture subblock that meets a preset condition is obtained after the current picture block is split in the split mode; if it is determined that the first picture subblock is obtained after the split, splitting the current picture block in the split mode to obtain a plurality of picture subblocks, where the plurality of picture subblocks include the first picture subblock; and determining that a same prediction mode is used for the plurality of picture subblocks, where the prediction mode for the plurality of picture subblocks is an intra prediction mode or an inter prediction mode. During implementation of this application, there is no need to parse all bitstreams, thereby facilitating hardware pipeline processing and improving efficiency.

    Abstract: Embodiments include a picture reconstruction method and apparatus for a video picture.     Abstract: A video decoding method includes parsing a bitstream to obtain a split mode to transform units (TUs) in a current coding unit (CU). Each of the TUs has a serial number in a one-to-one correspondence with positions of the TUs in the current CU. A transform coefficient of a luminance transform block of a current TU in the TUs is obtained. A transform type of the luminance transform block of the current TU is obtained based on the split mode and a serial number of the current TU. An inverse transform on the transform coefficient of the luminance transform block of the current TU is performed based on the transform type of the luminance transform block of the current TU to obtain a reconstructed residual of the luminance transform block of the current TU. A reconstructed block of the current CU is obtained based on the reconstructed residual.
