Abstract: A method for configuring security related configuration parameters is used in a passenger transport installation that includes at least one sensor exchanging sensor signals with a control. The sensor detects operating parameters within the passenger transport installation and emits corresponding sensor signals. The control controls security related functions of the passenger transport installation taking into account the sensor signals and the configuration parameters. The method includes: comparing the sensor signals with a predefined key signal pattern; operating the control temporarily in a configuration mode exclusively if the compared sensor signals correspond to the key signal pattern; and configuring the security related configuration parameters during the configuration mode. An installation-specific sensor (e.g. optical sensor or magnetic field sensor) functions as an interface to put the control into configuration mode in a targeted manner, e.g. by a test piece with a barcode maintained in the field of view of the optical sensor.

Abstract: A safety circuit for an elevator system includes a plurality of switch contacts, at least one first switch contact, and a control unit. The at least one first switch contact can be switched electronically and can be bridged using a conductive bridging element, in particular for maintenance or testing purposes. Additionally, the control unit is directly or indirectly connected to the safety circuit. The at least one first switch contact can be switched on the basis of instructions of the control unit in order to change the state of the safety circuit. In the process, the at least one control unit detects the absence of the state change of the safety circuit, in particular when the at least one first switch contact is being bridged by the bridging element.

Abstract: A locking system that locks and unlocks a door of an elevator car travelling along a track having stopping points and associated stopping point zones includes a lock mechanism having a locking position wherein the door is immobilized in a closed position and an unlocking position wherein the door can be opened, an actuator for bringing the lock mechanism into the locking and unlocking positions, and a control device activating the actuator to bring the lock mechanism into the unlocking position when the car is located in the region of a stopping point zone. A position detecting unit continuously detects the position of the car relative to the track and communicates the position to the control device that continuously detects whether the car is located in the region of a stopping point zone by comparing the communicated car position to stored position limit values of the stopping point zones.

Abstract: In an elevator installation, an elevator car is movably arranged alongside guide rails and the elevator car is equipped with a brake system with preferably two safety brakes. A movement monitoring system monitors the movement parameters of the elevator car and triggers corresponding warnings or safety measures, if permissible threshold values are exceeded or it provides determined adjusted movement parameters to an elevator control. The movement monitoring system determines a first movement parameter in a time interval and detects an acceleration of the elevator car. The movement monitoring system determines the time interval for determining the adjusted movement parameter as a function of the detected acceleration.

Abstract: A floor position detection device for an elevator system that determines a position of a car relative to a floor has a sensor unit and an evaluation device producing a floor signal having at least two states being an “outside the range of the floor” state when outside a range of the floor and a “within the range of the floor” state when within the overall range of the floor. The sensor unit has at least two sensors that each produce a floor position characteristic value and the evaluation device produces the floor signal based on a comparison between at least two of the characteristic values. The floor signal can adopt at least two mutually distinguishable states within the range of a floor, wherein each of these states corresponds to a partial range of the range of the floor, the partial ranges fully covering the range of the floor.

Abstract: A position-determining system and a method for ascertaining a car position of an elevator car use a code tape mounted next to the elevator car in parallel with a movement direction and that includes a code-mark pattern of individual code marks, a detection apparatus mounted on the elevator car that detects the code marks, and an evaluation unit that determines the car position on the basis of the detected code marks. Here, n successive code marks of the code-mark pattern form a position mark, the position marks are unambiguously arranged in an n-digit pseudorandom sequence of various position marks, the position marks form a single-track code-mark pattern, and a discrete car position is assigned to each position mark. A detection region of the detection apparatus has a detection length in the movement direction that is shorter than a position-mark length of a position mark in the movement direction.

Abstract: A safety monitoring device monitoring safety-related states in a passenger conveyor system has first and second double contact relays each controlled by a control voltage to switch first and second normally open contacts and a feedback contact synchronously between an open and closed relay states. First and second controllers each determine properties of the system correlated with safety-related states and in dependence generate the control voltages. The controllers and two double contact relays form first and second safety monitoring switch arrangements for monitoring first and second safety-related states and correspondingly switch first and second switching states within a safety monitoring chain of the system. The first arrangement includes the first contact of the first connected in series with the first contact of the second relay. The second arrangement includes the second contact of the first relay connected in parallel with the second contact of the second relay.

Abstract: A safety switching for elevator systems includes a safety function and a safety switch dedicated to the safety function. The safety switch opens or closes a safety circuit between one connection point and a second connection point as a function of a safety state of the safety function. A test function tests whether or not the safety switch opens and closes the safety circuit as a function of the safety state of the safety function. A detection device is provided for the test function. An auxiliary energy function is provided wherein an auxiliary voltage can be temporarily applied via at least the safety switch and an input part of the detection device for performing the test function. Locally between the connection points the auxiliary energy function introduces an auxiliary energy for generating the auxiliary voltage. The safety switching can be used for converting or retrofitting an existing elevator system.

Abstract: An elevator system having a traveling body upon which is arranged a safety gear for braking and holding the traveling body tight on the guiderail, or on a braking rail. The safety gear is connected to a device for actuating the safety gear. The device for actuating the safety gear contains a coupler body, which can be pressed against the elevator hoistway, possibly against the guiderail or braking rail, wherein actuation of the safety gear is effected by a relative movement between the pressed-on coupler body and the safety gear. For this purpose, the coupler body can contain a curved coupler surface, which, in case of need, is brought into engagement with the elevator hoistway, or with the guiderail or braking rail.
