    摘要: Provided is a method for transmitting beacon timing information from a transmission node in a wireless Local Area Network (LAN) mesh network. In the method, each of a plurality of nodes transmits a beacon signal with its unique offset within a beacon signal transmission time period and the transmission node periodically transmits beacon timing information including a first unique offset within the beacon signal transmission time period. The transmission node sets a second offset different from the first offset and transmits probe beacon timing information including the first offset and the second offset.

    摘要: A method for assigning a global address to a node in an ad-hoc network is provided. A joining node to the ad-hoc network generates a local address using its MAC address. The joining node inquires of its one-hop nodes about whether they occupy a local address that is the same as the generated local address. When the joining node is informed that there are no nodes occupying the same local address, it generates a global address using the generated local address and a global prefix provided from neighbor nodes. The joining node inquires of an Internet gateway about whether the generated global address is currently used. When the joining node is informed that there are no nodes currently using the same global address, the joining node is assigned the generated global address. Further, the joining node and the Internet gateway communicate messages via a relay node using a tunneling.

    摘要: A power saving method and apparatus are provided for saving power by reducing the number of changes between active mode and sleep mode using multiple channels. A process for negotiating which of multiple channels will be assigned a transmission opportunity (TXOP) is performed. A TXOP MAP is configured by exchanging a packet through a common channel during a predetermined time at every monitoring time according to a negotiated channel. The TXOP is allocated to each channel according to the TXOP MAP. As a change between the active mode and the sleep mode is reduced, power can be saved, resources of the mesh network can be efficiently used, and interference between nodes can be reduced.
