Abstract:
Method and apparatus, including computer program products, are provided for SRVCC emergency call support. The method may include receiving, at a mobility switching center, a first message representing a request to handover an emergency communication session from a first network to a second network. The mobile switching center may obtain a value representing an emergency session transfer number. The mobility switching center may also send a second message to the first network. The second message may initiate handover of the emergency communication session from the first network to the second network. The second message may comprise the value representing the emergency session transfer number. Related apparatus, systems, methods, and articles are Receive Session Continuity Data also described.
Abstract:
A server for a communication system is disclosed. The server is configured to receive group communication information comprising a group detail indicator. The group detail indicator provides information on at least an identity of a group and a type of the group. The server is further configured to store the group communication information, and to make the group communication information available to predefined entities.
Abstract:
Local discovery of mobile network services involves coupling a communications device to a local network segment of a mobile data network. An announcement is sent from the communication device and/or a network entity (such as a network proxy) describing a service available via the respective devices. The announcement is receivable by any device on the local network segment. A request is received at the device for a detailed description of the service information in response to the announcement. A description of the service is sent from the communications device to the originator of the request in response to the request, and the service is established between the originator and the communication device and/or network entity in response to the sending of the description of the service
Abstract:
A method of managing chat services in a communications system comprising the steps of: a first user terminal initiating a chat session with a session manager; said first user terminal inviting a second user terminal to join the chat session, wherein the second user terminal is associated with a blacklist of blocked users that are blocked from communicating with the second user terminal; checking if a third user terminal invited to join the chat session by the first user terminal is listed in the blacklist; and in the event that the third user terminal is in the blocklist, creating a notification message to notify a user of the second user terminal that a blocked user is joining the chat session.

Abstract:
The present invention relates to a session merging entity in a communication system IMS. The merging entity is handling communication of the first user; the communication includes a first session and a second session. The first session and the second session are merged into a single session towards the second user, if the same IMS communication service identifier has been indicated for the first session and the second session. The merging entity may also be located at the terminal device of the second user.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus, including computer program products, are provided for emergency call support. In one aspect there is provided a method. The method may include a home subscriber server receiving a first message comprising a generated value representing a session transfer number. The session transfer number may relate to a transfer of an emergency session from a first network to a second network. The method may further comprise a home subscriber server updating a user profile with the generated value representing the session transfer number for the emergency session. The user profile may be stored in the home subscriber server. The method may further comprise a home subscriber server sending a second message comprising the generated value representing the session transfer number. Related apparatus, systems, methods, and articles are also described.
Abstract:
A method can comprise providing single voice radio call continuity using packet data network bi-casting, wherein the call continuity is provided during a handover of a user equipment from a real-time transport protocol voice to a circuit switched voice call In such a method, the real-time transport protocol voice can be carried m a long term evolution system and the circuit switched voice call can be carried in a second or third generation system The method can be performed by a serving network of the user equipment.
Abstract:
A system for updating communication services includes user equipment configured to communicate using a first communication service standard and a second communication service standard, a subscriber database, an application server, and a network device. The network device detects an update trigger corresponding to a user equipment, requests that the user equipment discontinue using the first communication service standard, and flags the user equipment as updated by communicating with the application server and the subscriber database. The network device also receives a communication from the user equipment and determines whether the communication corresponds to the first communication service standard or the second communication service standard. If the communication corresponds to the first communication service standard the network device communicates an error message to the user equipment. However, if the communication corresponds to a second communication service standard, the network device processes the communication.
Abstract:
The present application discloses a system of at least a network element and at least a terminal. The system constituents are configured to provide assistance by the terminal to the network element in terms of access domain selection for at least one of the media channel and the session control channel of an incoming call to the terminal. In this regard, the terminal acquires information about the capabilities of an access network in which the terminal is camping. Upon receiving, at the terminal, an invitation to participate in a call, the terminal analyzes the acquired information about the capabilities of the access network, and optionally or additionally of the IMS network. The terminal responds to the invitation, based on the result of the analyzing, with an indication that indicates a respective access domain to be used for at least one of the media channel and the session control channel of the incoming call.
