Abstract: A system for locating a target in a building includes a mobile application and a remote system. The mobile application is for implementation on a mobile device including a camera configured to be utilized by the mobile application to selectively obtain a first image data of a first environment. The remote system is configured to selectively receive the first image data from the mobile application. The remote system is also configured to compare, in response to receiving the first image data from the mobile application, the first image data to a database of targets. The remote system is also configured to determine if a portion of the first image data is indicative of a target in the database of targets.

Abstract: A portable gateway device for use with a Building Management System (BMS) enables voice command control of BMS devices. The portable gateway device comprises a Wi-Fi module, a serial communications interface, and a data conversion module. The Wi-Fi module is configured to enable communication with a user device via Wi-Fi. The portable gateway device is configured to receive a voice command spoken by a user of the user device. The serial communications interface is configured to enable communication with a bus connected to a BMS device. The data conversion module is configured to translate the voice command received from the user device into a control action associated with the BMS device. The portable gateway device is configured to provide the control action to the BMS device via the serial communications interface. The control action affects a state or condition of the BMS device.

The method includes identifying a plurality of available zones in the building. The method includes receiving a selection to control a first zone from the plurality of available zones. In response to the selection, the method includes generating a password to restrict control of at least one device in the first zone. The method includes transmitting the password to the user device. The method includes receiving, via the input interface of the zone device different from the user device, the password. The method includes authorizing, responsive to receipt of the password via the input interface of the zone device, control of the at least one device in the first zone.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a method for managing building networks. The method includes aggregating the data to generate one or more communication statuses of the network. The method includes in response to a user selection of a particular communication status, launching a second graphical user interface to display information associated with the selected communication status.

Abstract: A sensor for measuring current flow includes a power generation circuit, a current measurement circuit and a microcontroller. The power generation circuit includes a current transformer that harvests energy from a load applied to the conductor and uses the harvested energy to power the current measurement circuit and microcontroller. The current measurement circuit includes a Hall effect sensor that outputs a voltage signal in response to detecting a magnetic flux generated by the flow of current through the conductor. The microcontroller calculates a current measurement based on the voltage signal received from the current measurement system. The Hall effect sensor is able to generate the voltage signal used to measure current flow at the same time that the current transformer harvests energy from the current flowing through the conductor. A fault detection system is able to alert a user to problems with the current transformer and/or the Hall effect sensor.

Abstract: A sensor for measuring current flow includes a housing containing a power generation circuit and a current measurement circuit. The sensor is entirely self-contained and is non-invasively attachable to a conductor. The sensor is self-powered using energy harvested by the power generation circuit. The current measurement circuit allows for continuous, uninterrupted measurement of at least one property related to the flow of current through the conductor. The sensor wirelessly transmits data related to the measured current flow to a computing device. The sensor may be used with other similar sensors to form a wireless sensor network that monitors one or more properties related to the flow of current through one or more conductors within a system.
