Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure are therefore directed toward a condenser section that is configured to draw an air flow into the condenser section, a control section configured to enclose electrical components, and a partition extending between the condenser section and the control section. The partition may include a first air passage and a second air passage formed therein, where the first air passage is configured to enable a portion of the air flow to flow from the condenser section into the control section to cool the electrical components and the second air passage enables the portion of air flow to from the control section to the condenser section.

Abstract: An energy recovery wheel includes a frame positioned within a passage of a heating, ventilation, and/or air conditioning (HVAC) system. The frame is configured to rotate about an axis of the passage relative to the HVAC system and includes an opening that is configured to transmit an air flow. The energy recovery wheel also includes a heat transfer element coupled to the frame and positioned within the opening, where the heat transfer element is permeable and configured to transition between a closed orientation to occlude the opening and direct the air flow across the heat transfer element and an open orientation to substantially unblock the opening and mitigate interaction between the air flow and the heat transfer element.

The condenser fan assembly includes a first fan and a second fan, where the first fan and the second fan are each configured to operate to pull air through the condenser coil. The HVAC unit also includes a motor of the first fan including a housing and a shaft, where the motor is configured to operate to rotate the shaft in a first direction. The HVAC unit further includes a unidirectional bearing that is coupled to the shaft and a mounting assembly of the condenser fan assembly, where the unidirectional bearing is configured to block rotation of the shaft in a second direction that is opposite the first direction.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a liquid drainage system for a heating, ventilation, and/or air conditioning (HVAC) system, where the liquid drainage system includes a drain pan configured to collect and drain condensate within a housing. The drain pan is configured to be mounted within the housing separate from an evaporator assembly and is removable from the housing independent of the evaporator assembly. The liquid drainage system also includes a drain pan extension plate configured to collect and drain condensate to the drain pan, where the drain pan extension plate is configured be removably mounted within the housing. The drain pan extension plate and the drain pan are configured to overlap with one another, in an assembled configuration, along a direction of airflow across the evaporator assembly.
