摘要: Systems and methods for lubricant management of a compressor in an HVACR system are disclosed. A heat transfer circuit can utilize a working fluid to provide heating or cooling includes a compressor for compressing the working fluid and a heat source configured to increase a suction temperature of the working fluid entering the compressor. One or more lubricant rheological properties in a compressor system based on measurements taken at or near a bearing cavity of the compressor are determinable. A lubricant reservoir can be in thermal communication with a discharge flow path of the compressor. An internal heat exchanger can be disposed within a compressor for improving viscosity of the lubricant to be cycled back into the compressor. A heater can be located on a fluid line between a lubricant separator and a lubricant inlet. Condenser fans can be controlled.

摘要: A cryogenic cell adapted to expose a fluid to selectable pressure and temperature conditions has a core filled with a cryogen and a space in selective, partial thermal communication with the core, the space being at least substantially airtight and adapted to be filled or evacuated with a compressible fluid that (1) increases or decreases thermal communication with the core in accordance with a pressure of the compressible fluid within the space, and (2) places contents of the space under the pressure of the compressible fluid. As heat exchange between the core and the space occurs, cryogen vapor is withdrawn from the core, compressed into liquid, and returned to the core. The core does not include a cold head.

The partition may include a first air passage and a second air passage formed therein, where the first air passage is configured to enable a portion of the air flow to flow from the condenser section into the control section to cool the electrical components and the second air passage enables the portion of air flow to from the control section to the condenser section.

摘要: A distillation system receives a feed solution to produce residue and distillate. A heat pump includes parts of a first and second heat exchangers, a working fluid, a working fluid compressor, and an expansion device. The working fluid receives available heat energy from the distillate in the second heat exchanger, receives at least some additional heat energy in the working fluid compressor, and releases at least some of that heat energy into the feed solution in the first heat exchanger. The first heat exchanger receives the feed solution, permitting transfer of at least some heat energy into it. A separator receives the feed solution from the first heat exchanger and separates it into the residue and distillate. The second heat exchanger receives the distillate, permitting transfer of at least some heat energy back into the working fluid. And a distillate extractor directs the distillate out of the second heat exchanger.

摘要: An electrochemical compressor utilizes an anion conducting layer disposed between an anode and a cathode for transporting a working fluid. The working fluid may include carbon dioxide that is dissolved in water and is partially converted to carbonic acid that is equilibrium with bicarbonate anion. An electrical potential across the anode and cathode creates a pH gradient that drives the bicarbonate anion across the anion conducting layer to the cathode, wherein it is reformed into carbon dioxide. Therefore, carbon dioxide is pumped across the anion conducting layer. The compressor may be part of a refrigeration system that pumps the working fluid in a closed loop through a condenser and an evaporator.

摘要: A gas compressor system includes a compression liquid holding tank in fluid communication with a combustion tank. A combustible fluid is directed to the combustion tank. An ignition system is provided for igniting the combustible fluid. A compression liquid flows between the liquid holding tank, the combustion tank, and a compression tank. A compressible gas is provided in the compression tank. The ignition of the combustible fluid drives the compression liquid from the combustion tank to the compression tank, compressing the compressible liquid. An HVAC&R system and a method of compressing gas are also disclosed.

The oil-amount determiner (71a, 71b) determines whether an oil shortage state in which the amount of the refrigerating-machine oil held by the compressor (31a, 31b) is insufficient is present, on the basis of a measured value obtained by the temperature sensor (42a, 42b).

摘要: A refrigerant leak determination apparatus is provided with a refrigeration cycle device, connection devices, and a control device. The refrigeration cycle device is configured with an indoor unit and an outdoor unit. The refrigeration cycle device includes a refrigerant circuit. Each of the connection devices has a communication opening to an internal space of the refrigerant circuit, and is connected to a pressure sensor that measures a refrigerant pressure in the internal space. The control device causes the refrigeration cycle device to perform oil recovery operation to collect oil inside the refrigerant circuit in a compressor, and determines a leak of the refrigerant from the refrigerant circuit, by comparing a reference pressure with the refrigerant pressure measured by the pressure sensor after the oil recovery operation.
