Abstract: An inkjet recording apparatus includes a recording head, a wiper member, a cleaning liquid supply device, a cleaning liquid flow path, and a controller. The cleaning liquid flow path includes a vertical tubular member connected to the cleaning liquid supply device and extending upward, and a horizontal tubular member connected to an upper end of the vertical tubular member and extending in a horizontal direction. The controller extrudes a cleaning liquid in at least a part of the cleaning liquid flow path from a cleaning liquid supply port before control of a cleaning operation for wiping an ink ejection surface of the recording head, thereby performing control of an air bubble release operation of the cleaning liquid flow path.

Abstract: A drying apparatus includes a conveying unit, a heater unit, a casing, a lifting mechanism, and a closing member. The conveying unit supports and conveys the recording medium in a predetermined conveyance direction. The heater unit is disposed above the conveying unit, and blows a high temperature air to the conveyed recording medium. The casing houses the heater unit. The lifting mechanism is provided in the casing and supports the heater unit so as to be lifted and lowered. The closing member comes into contact with the heater unit when the heater unit is lowered, and separates a heating space below the heater unit from an internal space of the casing. The closing member is lifted and lowered within a predetermined range as the heater unit is lifted and lowered.

Abstract: A drying device dries a recording medium on which an image is formed, while conveying the recording medium. The drying apparatus includes a conveying member and a heating device. The conveying member supports and conveys the recording medium in a predetermined conveyance direction. The heating device heats the recording medium conveyed by the conveying member under a high temperature environment. The heating device includes a heater, a reflector and a lifting mechanism. The heater emits infrared ray. The reflector reflects the infrared ray emitted from the heater toward the recording medium. The lifting mechanism lifts and lowers the reflector relative to the heater to change a number of reflections of the infrared ray.

The ink receiving part includes a discharge port, a liquid-absorptive rotator, and a counter member. The controller controls a cleaning operation including squeezing out the cleaning liquid containing bubbles from the cleaning liquid supply port, and moving the wiper member carrying the cleaning liquid containing bubbles, in the wiping direction from a movement start position to an end position ahead of the ink ejection surface.

The exhaust portion is disposed over an area from upstream of the recording portion to upstream of the pair of registration rollers with respect to the sheet conveyance direction and sucks air from above the conveyance belt and the plate portion in the direction away from the conveyance belt. The exhaust portion includes an exhaust hood and an exhaust fan. The exhaust fan guides the air in the exhaust hood through an air inlet into a recording potion housing and then passes the air through an exhaust outlet to discharge it via an air flow passage.
