Abstract:
A deformable sealing device for a gap between a wall opening of a building wall and a back wall of a vehicle is provided. The sealing device comprises a flappy deformable skirt having an upper transverse portion and two vertical strips extending parallel to the vertical sides of the wall opening. The vertical strips are connected to a front face of a respective elastic deformable support body that has a quadrilateral cross-sectional shape and a flexible pull-resistant cover. The support body is connected to the building wall. The support body comprises a respective block of a soft, elastically deformable foamed material which exerts a pre-stress onto the face portion of the cover at the front face of the support body where the vertical strips are attached.
Abstract:
A deformable sealing device for a gap between a wall opening of a building wall and a back wall of a vehicle docking at the wall opening is provided. The sealing device comprises a skirt supported at respective support bodies. The support bodies are elastically deformable in a direction toward the building wall. The skirt comprises an upper transverse portion and two vertical strips that are arranged parallel to vertical sides of the wall opening. A lower transverse portion is also part of the skirt and extends between respective bottom sections of the vertical strips and is supported at a lower edge thereof at a further support body that is elastically deformable in the direction toward the building wall.
Abstract:
A sectional door, for buildings and the like, includes panel-like sections that are hingedly or pivotably connected to one another. The hinge joints that provide the pivotal connection have securing plates or brackets that extend around the pivot or hinge pin. In order to be able to effect a rapid and reliable securing of the hinge joints at any desired location along the edges of the sections, the edges of the sections that are to be connected are inventively provided with longitudinally extending slots for receiving the brackets. In addition, these edges are provided with longitudinally extending, groove-like recesses that proceed from the slots. Arresting members that cooperate with the brackets extend into the recesses. The recesses have a semicircular cross-sectional shape, and the arresting members have a spherical shape.
Abstract:
A bolt connection for connecting a hollow profiled member to a profiled member disposed transverse thereto where connection by welding is inadequate. A plate-like member that is resistant to bending is displaceably supported at one end against the inner surface of the hollow profiled member, and is supported at the other end against an abutment that is disposed remote from the aforementioned inner surface. The length of the plate-like member is slightly greater than the inside height of the hollow profiled member. The bottom of the hollow profiled member is preferably supported on a projection of the other profiled member. The abutment is preferably disposed at the top with the displaceable end of the plate-like member being at the bottom. By tightening the bolt that acts upon the plate-like member, a tight, releasable connection is provided.
Abstract:
A transfer bridge for bridging across railroad tracks. The transfer bridge includes a bridge plate that can be pivoted from a vertical rest position into a horizontal operative position, in which the free end of the bridge plate rests upon a platform next to the tracks. In addition, a travel mechanism that is movable parallel to the tracks is associated with the bridge. In order to achieve a simplified and smaller construction for the travel mechanism, the latter is provided with an upwardly extending boom that is held in a guide rail to keep it from tilting.
Abstract:
A support plate for a bridge or ramp with a drive lane has two longitudinal supports forming lateral sides of the support plate. A plurality of transverse members is arranged parallel to one another and connected between the two longitudinal supports. The transverse members have an upper surface forming the drive lane. The transverse members are hollow and have a quadrangular cross-section. The transverse members have a first and a second sidewall, whereby the second sidewalls face the first sidewalls of neighboring ones of the transverse members. At least one angle member is connected to each second sidewall, the angle member having a first leg and a second leg. The first leg rests at an is fixedly connected to the second sidewall and the second leg projects laterally from the second sidewall for supporting the neighboring transverse member.
Abstract:
A ramp bridging mechanism having a bridge plate, the free end of which is provided with an extension. A support member is pivotably connected to the underside of the extension and supports the bridge plate in a position of rest. To free the pivot joint of the support member from support forces, an end of the support member can be displaced from a pivoted position toward the extension and into abutment against the extension, and vice versa, whereby during such displacement the position of the support member shifts relative to the transverse pivot axis.
Abstract:
A deformable sealing device for a gap between a wall opening of a building wall and a back wall of a vehicle docking at the wall opening is provided. The sealing device comprises a flappy deformable skirt comprising an upper transverse portion, that is suspended at an upper edge thereof from a transverse support, and two deformable vertical strips that are arranged parallel to vertical sides of the wall opening and are supported at respective elastically deformable support bodies. A top cover extends from the transverse support to the building wall. The top cover has extensions in a longitudinal direction thereof that are freely suspended from ends of the top cover and cover upper, outwardly oriented portions of the support bodies. The extensions are provided with a weight at a free end thereof.
Abstract:
A mobile inclined ramp having longitudinal members that are disposed at the sides and are connected by transverse members that have a U-shaped cross-sectional configuraiton, with the cross parts of the transverse members being directed downwardly. To increase the load-carrying capacity of the tranverse members and to increase the traction of the travel surface of the ramp, plates are disposed between the cross parts of the transverse members. At the top, these plates end approximately at the level of anti-slip or traction elements of flanges of the transverse members. The plates are securely clamped between adjacent transverse members by bolt connections.
Abstract:
A bridging device for docks. A lifting cylinder is provided for raising a bridge plate, in which is mounted an extension that can be retracted or extended via a feed cylinder. A hydraulic arrangement is associated with the bridging device, and includes a reversible pump. A relief valve that can be hydraulically closed is provided in the return line from the lifting cylinder. The actuating connection of this relief valve is connected to the feed lines for the feed cylinder.
