Abstract: A method of controlling a refrigerator including a cold air generator and a cold air transmission unit includes, when a temperature of the storage compartment becomes equal to or greater than a first reference temperature, operating the cold air generator with predetermined cooling power and turning on and operating the cold air transmitter with predetermined output, upon determining that the temperature of the storage compartment becomes equal to or less than a second reference temperature lower than the first reference temperature, turning off the cold air transmitter, and, upon determining that the temperature of the storage compartment becomes equal to or greater than the first reference temperature, turning on the cold air transmitter again, wherein a controller determines operation output of the cold air transmitter based on the cooling power of the cold air generator.

Abstract: A refrigerator of the present invention comprises: an inner case forming a storage compartment; a cold air duct guiding the flow of air within the storage compartment and forming a heat exchange space with the inner case; an evaporator disposed in the heat exchange space between the inner case and the cold air duct; a bypass passage disposed in the cold air duct so as to allow the flow of air to bypass the evaporator; a sensor disposed in the bypass flow channel and comprising a sensor housing, a sensor PCB received in the sensor housing, a heating element installed on the sensor PCB so as to generate heat when an electric current is applied thereto, a temperature element for sensing the temperature of the heating element, and a molding material with which the sensor housing is filled; a drfrosting means for removing frost formed on the surface of the evaporator; and a control unit for controlling the defrosting means on the basis of the value output from the sensor.

Abstract: The present invention provides a control method of a refrigerator, comprising: a first defrosting step of defrosting an evaporator and terminating the defrosting when the evaporator reaches a first temperature; a step of detecting pressure difference by means of a differential pressure sensor for measuring pressure difference between a first thru-hole, disposed between the evaporator and an inlet through which air flows in from a storage compartment, and a second thru-hole disposed between the evaporator and an outlet through which the air is discharged into the storage compartment; and a second defrosting step of additionally defrosting the evaporator if the measured pressure difference is greater than a configured pressure.
