Abstract: A negative electrode for a lithium secondary battery in which lithium precipitation is suppressed. The negative electrode implements a high degree of orientation of a carbon-based active material contained in a first region of the negative electrode active layer, so that the effect of suppressing lithium precipitation at an end of the negative electrode active layer during charging and discharging of a secondary battery is excellent. Accordingly, a lithium secondary battery including the negative electrode active layer has high safety, and has the advantage of being able to charge and discharge for a long time under high rate conditions. A lithium secondary battery including the negative electrode is also provided.

Abstract: A magnetic alignment device for negative electrode and method for manufacturing negative electrode using the same. The magnetic alignment device can measure the loading amount of the negative electrode slurry applied on the negative electrode collector in real time and can easily control the intensity of the magnetic field by adjusting the separation distance of the magnet portion according to the measured negative electrode slurry loading amount, and has an advantage of uniformly high alignment degree of the crystal faces of the carbon-based negative electrode active material contained in prepared negative electrode active layer.

Abstract: A magnetic alignment device applies a magnetic field to a negative electrode slurry by introducing a magnet part to an upper and a lower portion of a negative electrode current collector on which the negative electrode slurry is applied, respectively. By applying a stronger magnetic field in a second region of the magnet part located downstream along the transfer direction of the negative electrode current collector than in a first region of the magnet part located upstream, and by arranging a drying part adjacent to the end of the second region where the stronger magnetic field is applied, a negative electrode having a significantly higher alignment of the carbon-based negative electrode active material contained in the negative electrode slurry can be manufactured. A method for manufacturing a negative electrode using the magnetic alignment device is also provided.
