    Abstract: An insulation-coating overlay control system, an electrode plate for a secondary battery, and an insulation-coating overlay control method are provided. I system includes an insulation coater configured to coat an insulating material to allow the insulating material to cover a partial region of a coated part and a non-coated part in an electrode plate along a boundary part. The coated part has an electrode slurry coated thereon and the non-coated part does not have the electrode slurry coated thereon. An insulation-coating width measuring means is configured to measure an overlay width. An insulation coater moving means is configured to move the insulation coater and a controller is configured to control the insulation coater moving means to adjust the overlay width by comparing the measured overlay width with a predetermined overlay width setting range or an overlay width reference value.

    Abstract: A negative electrode for a lithium secondary battery in which lithium precipitation is suppressed. The negative electrode has a form in which a high degree of alignment of a carbon-based active material contained in a sliding portion of the negative electrode active layer is realized. Accordingly, the negative electrode has an excellent effect of suppressing lithium precipitation at the end of the negative electrode active layer during charging and discharging of the secondary battery, so that a lithium secondary battery including the negative electrode has high safety and can be charged and discharged for a long time under high rate conditions. A lithium secondary battery including the negative electrode is also provided.

    Abstract: A magnetic alignment device includes a first magnet part and a second magnet part, an alignment measuring part, and a control part. The first and second magnet parts accommodate an electrode sheet therebetween and the alignment measuring part measures an alignment of the carbon-based negative electrode active material with respect to the negative electrode current collector. The control part adjusts the separation distance of the first and second magnet parts based on a degree of the alignment of a carbon-based negative electrode active material. The alignment of the negative electrode active layer dried with the magnetically aligned carbon-based negative electrode active material is measured in real time, and the strength of the magnetic field can be controlled by individually adjusting the spacing distance of the unit magnets according to the alignment of the carbon-based negative electrode active material measured. A method of manufacturing the same is also provided.

In some embodiments, a method of manufacturing a shim for a die coater, where the shim is applied to an electrode slurry die of the die coater and used for discharging an electrode slurry from the die coater, comprising milling a surface of a metal plate to prepare the shim.     Abstract: A magnetic alignment device includes a first magnet part and a second magnet part, a thickness measuring part, and a control part. The first and second magnet parts accommodate an electrode sheet therebetween and the thickness measuring part measures a thickness of a negative electrode slurry disposed on the electrode sheet. The control part adjusts the separation distance of the first and second magnet parts. The magnetic alignment device measures the thickness of the negative electrode slurry applied on the negative electrode current collector in real time and controls the intensity of the magnetic field by adjusting the separation distance of the magnet part according to the measured negative electrode slurry thickness, and has an advantage of uniformly high alignment degree of the crystal faces of the carbon-based negative electrode active material contained in prepared negative electrode active layer.
