Abstract: A patient monitor for monitoring a patient's orientation to reduce a risk of the patient developing a pressure ulcer can include one or more hardware processors that can receive and process data from a sensor to determine the patient's orientation. The one or more hardware processors can maintain a plurality of timers associated with available orientations of the patient. Each of the plurality of timers can account for a non-consecutive duration said patient is in an associated available orientation. The non-consecutive duration can vary depending on whether a patient is in the available orientation. The patient monitor can include a structured display including an orientation trend and a patient representation illustrating a current orientation of the patient. The orientation trend can include a heat map that graphically illustrates said non-consecutive durations of the patient in the available orientations and/or an orientation graph that displays the patient' orientation history.

Abstract: A regional oximetry system has a display and at least one processor causing a plurality of views to be displayed on the display, each configured to occupy at least a portion of the display. The views are adapted to present data responsive to at least one physiological signal. A first sensor port is configured to receive at least a first physiological signal representative of a regional tissue oxygenation level, and a second sensor port is configured to receive at least a second physiological signal representative of an arterial oxygen saturation level. One view presents a first trend graph of the first physiological signal and a second trend graph of the second physiological signal. An area between the first trend graph and the second trend graph can include a differential analysis of regional-to-central oxygen saturation.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to physiological monitoring to determine the depth of consciousness of a patient under sedation. The monitor includes an EEG sensor and a depth of consciousness monitor. The depth of consciousness monitor can utilize treatment data, such as patient data and/or drug profile information with an EEG signal to determine whether the patient is adequately sedated.

The one or more hardware processors can maintain a plurality of timers associated with available orientations of the patient. The one or more hardware processors can modify a value of the plurality of timers based on an amount of time the patient is oriented in the plurality of orientations. The one or more hardware processors can generate an interactive graphical user interface on the display screen. The user interface can include a graphic for illustrating an orientation history of the patient. The one or more hardware processors can modify an appearance of the graphic based upon the values the plurality of timers.

Abstract: A regional oximetry system comprises a pod having a pod housing defining a sensor end and an opposite monitor end. A dual sensor connector is in electrical communication with the sensor end of the pod housing. A monitor connector is in electrical communication with the monitor end of the pod housing. An analog board is disposed within the pod housing and is in electrical communications with the dual sensor connector. The analog board receives and digitizes sensor signals from at least one optical sensor plugged into the dual sensor connector. A digital board is disposed within the pod housing and in electrical communications with the analog board and the monitor connector. A digital signal processor (DSP) is mounted on the digital board and implements a regional oximetry signal processor so as to receive digitized sensor signals from the analog board, derive regional oximetry parameters from the digitized sensor signals and communicate the regional oximetry parameters to the monitor connector for display on an attached monitor.

Abstract: A patient monitoring system to help manage a patient that is at risk of falling is disclosed. The system includes a patient-worn wireless sensor that can be affixed to the patient's back that senses the patient's motion and wirelessly transmits information indicative of the sensed motion to a patient monitor. The patient monitor receives, stores, and processes the transmitted information to determine whether the patient has fallen or is about to fall. Upon such detection, the system can notify the patient's caretakers that the patient has fallen or is about to fall and therefore, is in need of immediate attention.
