    摘要: A flash photography system includes a first photometering device including a multi-segment photometering sensor having a plurality of zone sensors for measuring a pre-flash emission; a second photometering device including a single-segment direct photometering sensor for measuring a main flash emission; a weighting device which assigns a weighting factor to an output of each of the plurality of zone sensors; a calculation device which calculates a correction value based on each photometering value and the weighting factor of each zone sensor of the first photometering device, wherein an appropriate receiving light amount of the second photometering device is calculated in order to attain a compensation exposure for the main flash emission based on the correction value; and a controller which terminates the main flash emission after the light amount measured by the second photometering device reaches the appropriate receiving light amount.

In the camera, a guide number is calculated as an exposure factor for the external flash, and a flash-light emission timing of the external flash is calculated. A built-in flash of the camera is controlled to emit two light signals at a time interval representing the guide number. The external flash detects the two light signals. A timing of a flash-light emission of the external flash is controlled in accordance with one of the two light signals. An amount of the flash-light emission of the external flash is controlled in accordance with the time interval.

    摘要: An image magnification control device for a camera having a photographic lens. The image magnification control device includes a first detector that functions to detect a focal length "f0" of the photographic lens. A distance "X0" between a rear focal point of the photographic lens and an image taking plane of the camera is then determined based on a delivery-amount of a focusing lens of the photographic lens and the detected focal length "f0". A second detector detects a defocusing amount "dx" by analyzing a light passed through the photographic lens, in which the defocusing amount "dx" represents a displacement of an image formed by the photographic lens from the image taking plane. An image magnification "m0" is determined based on a formula "m0=X0/f0", while a control focal length "f1" is calculated based on a formula "f1=(f).sup.2 .multidot.m0)/(X0+dx)". The focal length of the photographic lens is thus controlled so as to meet the control focal length "f1".
