摘要： A circuit interrupter comprises a pair of contacts which can be relatively moved to be detouchable in a fluid for arc extinction; a pressure chamber which is connected to an arc space to contain the fluid for arc extinction whose pressure is raised in the arc space; and a fluid passage which is closed until moving one contact for a specific distance and is opened to discharge the fluid in the pressure chamber through the arc space out of the pressure chamber after departing the contact for the specific distance whereby the arc extinction is performed by the puffing of the fluid.

摘要： A circuit interrupter comprising a pressure chamber, disposed in fluid communication with an arc extinguishing chamber containing an arc extinguishing fluid, for temporarily storing the arc extinguishing fluid pressure-raised by the arc energy, the high pressure arc extinguishing fluid being puffed at an electric arc established between the separated contacts to extinguish it. The circuit interrupter further comprises means, for relaxing the electric field, disposed on one of the contacts and around an arcing region. The circuit interrupter is prevented from re-arcing due to the transient recovery-voltage after the arc current reaches the zero point, thereby ensuring a complete arc extinction in a short period of time.

摘要： A circuit breaker provided with an interrupter of the fluid blast type in which a gas in a chamber is increased in pressure by the arc energy in the chamber which holds the high pressure gas until a fluid path is made through openings provided in the course of circuit breaking operation of the breaker and blows the gas through the openings toward the arc drawn between contact members of the breaker for interrupting the arc. The interrupter comprises measures to prevent the pressure in the chamber from being excessively increased which otherwise would cause undesirable effects on arc quenching operation in the range of large arcing currents, while maintaining a proper fluid blast operation.

摘要： A circuit interrupter comprises a pair of contacts movable relative to one another into a separated or spaced apart position in a chamber containing a fluid for arc extinction, and includes a pressure chamber for storing the fluid for arc extinction which is pressurized by arcing occurring in the space between separating contacts. Structure is provided in association with the pressure chamber for preliminarily pressurizing the fluid depending upon the extent of movement of the contacts in a separating direction prior to separation thereof, and wherein an outlet from the chamber is opened after the contacts have separated, and the fluid for arc extinction in the pressure chamber is thus discharged through the arc space and the arc is interrupted by puffing of the fluid through the arc for arc extinction.

摘要： A self-extinguishing-type of fluid-blast circuit-interrupter is provided, of the single-break type, utilizing a plurality of pressure-generating chambers disposed in series relation, and compartmentalizing the extinguishing chambers so as to act transversely on series portions of the singly-drawn arc.The two pressure-generating chambers are disposed opposite to the fluid-flow transmitting passages, so that there occurs a desirable reduction in temperature of the pressurized fluid prior to its subsequent injection into the arcing region.
