Abstract:
An upper clamping device and a lower clamping device are provided for clamping a double-sided optical disc in cooperation with the upper clamping device. An annular holder is axially movably provided in the upper clamping device. A plurality of spheres are radially movably mounted on the holder. A hub having a slant at a periphery thereof is axially movably provided. When the hub is downwardly moved the slant urges the spheres to engage them with an inside wall of a center hole of the optical disc. Thus, the optical disc is centered.
Abstract:
A double-side playing optical disk player which plays both sides of a disk placed on a turntable by driving and guiding a carriage carrying an optical pickup with a guide driving mechanism along both surfaces of the disk. The guide driving mechanism is composed of first and second guide mechanisms disposed on respective sides of the disk-carrying surface of the turntable, and a transfer mechanism for transferring the carriage between prescribed engaging/disengaging positions on the front and rear sides of the disk.
Abstract:
A thienotriazolodiazepine compound of the formula: ##STR1## wherein A is alkylene or substituted alkylene and each other symbol is as defined in the specification and a pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt thereof, and pharmaceutical uses thereof.Said compounds exhibit PAF-antagonistic activity and are useful for the prevention or treatment of various PAF-induced diseases.
Abstract:
A rangefinder mechanism is shown in which the scanning mirror has been replaced with a movable scanning optic. The automatic rangefinder system includes a pair of optical paths, one a reference path and the other a scanned path, which are lead to impinge upon a photosensitive surface for comparison purposes. The output of the photosensitive surface is used to adjust the main lens of the camera. The range of the movable optic is coordinated with the position of the main lens of the camera as feedback and adjustment of the rangefinder.
Abstract:
A rangefinder mechanism is shown in which the scanning mirror has been reced with a movable scanning optic. The automatic rangefinder system includes a pair of optical paths one a reference path and the other a scanned path which are led to impinge upon a photosensitive surface for comparison purposes. The output of the photosensitive surface is used to adjust the main lens of the camera. Disposed in front of the movable optic is another optical movable relative thereto to coordinate with the position of the main lens of the camera as feedback and adjust the rangefinder system.
Abstract:
Disclosed is an electrolyte membrane which enables a fuel cell to have a high maximum output when used therein since it has high proton conductivity and high hydrogen gas impermeability. Also disclosed are a method for producing such an electrolyte membrane, and a solid polymer fuel cell using such an electrolyte membrane. A method for producing an electrolyte membrane including a step for impregnating a porous base with a solution containing a sulfonic acid group-containing vinyl monomer and then polymerizing the monomer is characterized in that 80% by mole or more of vinyl sulfonic acid having purity of 90% or more, and/or a salt thereof is contained as the sulfonic acid group-containing vinyl monomer, and the concentration of the vinyl sulfonic acid and/or a salt thereof in the solution is set at 35% by weight or more.
Abstract:
An image display controlling unit controls to display a standard image and a dummy image. The standard image is an image that has been previously decided by the user. The dummy image looks like the standard image but the standard image and the dummy image has differences that only the user can identify and that can not be identified from a distance. The user selects a predetermined section of the standard image and selects a dummy section from the dummy image. A password is input based on information corresponding to the predetermined section of the standard image and information corresponding to the dummy section of the dummy image is neglected.

Abstract:
This invention relates to a conducting organic polymer formed by doping an organic polymer with a protonic acid having a dissociation constant value pKa of less than 4.8, wherein the organic polymer has, as the main repeating unit, a compound represented by the general formula: ##STR1## wherein, m and n, respectively, show the molar fraction of the quinonediimine structural unit and phenylenediamine structural unit in the repeating unit, and 0
Abstract:
A process for producing an electrically conductive organic polymer, which comprises subjecting an organic polymer having an imino-p-phenylene structural unit represented by the following formula ##STR1## as the main repeating unit to a doping treatment with a solution having dissolved therein a quinone series oxidizing agent together with a protonic acid.
