The system further includes a first database and a second database. The first database stores first data representative of a first configuration of the process, while the second database stores second data representative of a second configuration of the process.     摘要: A portable computer for use in interfacing to a process control system having a host system includes a housing adapted for hand-held operation, a processing unit disposed within the housing and a computer readable memory disposed within the housing and coupled to the processing unit. The portable computer also includes a display, a keypad and a radio frequency transceiver adapted to communicate with the host system, all of which are disposed within the housing and communicatively coupled to the processing unit. A first software routine stored in the computer readable memory processes a user input received from the keypad and sends a command to the host system via the radio frequency transceiver. Additionally, a second software routine stored in the computer readable memory receives process information sent from the host system in response to the command and displays the received process information via the portable computer display.

    摘要: A wearable computer for use in a process control environment includes a central processing unit, a memory and a number of other or integral devices such as a display, a microphone, a video camera, a voice recognition unit and a remote communication device that communicates with a host computer. The wearable computer provide information pertaining to one or more devices within a process control system (such as diagnostic information, help information, operator overviews, schematics or process parameter information) via the display. The wearable computer also executes a voice recognition routine that processes a received voice signal to automatically identify user inputs such as commands, process control devices within the field of view of the wearer, device tags, etc. and uses the user inputs to change a display, to alter a process signal, to retrieve device information etc.

    摘要: System and method for static memory allocation (SMA) in a graphical programming system. A graphical program (GP) may be created in response to user input, comprising nodes interconnected by wires for inter-node communication, which visually indicates functionality of the program, and includes a plurality of data elements. The GP is programmatically analyzed to determine: memory requirements for each of the data elements, and one or more subsets of the data elements that can share a memory block, e.g., by traversing the GP to determine one or more static paths, each comprising a path of wire along which a single statically allocated memory block can be used. One or more SMAs are programmatically included in the GP in response, executable to statically allocate a shared memory block for each subset. The GP may be executed, including executing the SMAs to statically allocate the shared memory blocks for each of the subsets.

    摘要: A control studio object system is disclosed which allows a process control environment to be easily and quickly configured or modified. The control studio object system includes a stencil portion having stencil items conforming to algorithms and a diagram portion to which the stencil items may be copied via a drag and drop operation. Because the stencil items are objects which contain all of the information required by a diagram portion to create an object that contains all of the information necessary to program the process control environment, the completed diagram portion reflects the actual configuration of the process control environment. Additionally, providing the stencil items as objects allows the diagrammed environment to be installed directly to nodes without requiring the diagram to be compiled or rewritten in a language conforming to the node.
