    Abstract: A vehicle body structure includes a front side member, a body attachment structure and an off-center impact structure. The front side member defines a hollow interior, an outboard wall and an inboard wall. The body attachment structure is attached to the outboard wall of the front side member. The off-center impact structure has a first end portion, a second end portion and a main section extending from the first end portion to the second end portion. The first end portion extends through an outboard forward opening and into the hollow interior of the front side member and is rigidly connected to the front side member forward of the body attachment structure. The second end portion is attached to the front side member at a location rearward of the body attachment structure with the main section extending outboard of the body attachment structure.

    Abstract: A beam has a first exterior surface and a second exterior surface opposite the first exterior surface with an opening extending through the beam. A sleeve member extends through the opening from the first exterior surface to the second exterior surface. A first collar defines a first aperture with a first end of the sleeve member extending through the first aperture. The first collar contacts the first exterior surface. A second collar has a second attachment flange that overlays a portion of the second exterior surface of the beam. The second collar has a second aperture with the sleeve member extending therethrough. The first collar and the second collar are positioned and fixedly attached to the beam such that the sleeve member is spaced apart from interior surfaces of the beam that define the opening.

    Abstract: A vehicle body structure a front side member, a body attachment structure fixed to the front side member and an off-center impact structure. The off-center impact structure has a linearly shaped first elongated member defining a first end portion, a mid-section portion and a second end portion. The first end portion extends through a first outboard opening into a hollow interior of the front side member and is rigidly connected to the front side member forward of the body attachment structure. The mid-section portion is connected to an outboard wall of the front side member. The second end portion extends in an outboard direction away from the outboard wall such that in response to an impact event during an off-center impact test the mid-section of the first elongated member deforms with the second end portion moving rearward into contact with the body attachment structure.

    Abstract: A vehicle is disclosed that includes a rear door, which is movable between closed and open positions, and a vehicle body, which supports the rear door and includes an anti-pooling countermeasure that is configured to inhibit water collection between the rear door and the vehicle body.     Abstract: The vehicle structure includes a vehicle frame and a stop structure. The vehicle frame has a first side member and a second side member. The first and second side members have respective front ends with each of the first side member and the second side member extending rearward from the front ends in a vehicle longitudinal direction. The stop structure is installed to the first side member at a location rearward of a front suspension structure. The stop structure extends in an outboard direction from the first side member. The stop structure has a top surface, a bottom surface, a forward-facing surface, and a rear surface. The bottom surface has a concaved area that extends from the forward-facing surface to the rear surface. The concaved area is dimensioned to receive a conduit such that the conduit is received and at least partially concealed within the concaved area.

    Abstract: An off-center impact structure (a frame protrusion rupture mitigating structure) has a first end section, a mid-section and a second end section. The first end section is fixedly attached to an attachment section of a vehicle front side member. The mid-section extends laterally outward and defines an arcuate shape curving forward from the first end section and laterally outboard. The second end section of the off-center impact structure is located forward of the attachment section. The mid-section has a forward-facing surface formed with a plurality of vertically oriented recesses. In response to an off-center impact event where impacting force is applied to a distal end of the second end section, the off-center impact structure deforms bending along the mid-section with at least a portion of the vertically oriented recesses expanding in a bellows-like manner absorbing impact energy such that the second end section is moved rearward.

    Abstract: A spare tire storage cover assembly a spare tire and a wheel cover. The spare tire has a tire and a metal wheel. The metal wheel defines a central attachment portion encircled by an outer rim with a wheel retaining member of a retraction device is inserted through an opening in the central attachment portion. The wheel cover has a disk portion with a first surface and a second surface, and a cylindrical portion extending from a central area of the first surface of the disk portion. The first surface has a plurality of alignment fins that extend in a radial outward direction from the cylindrical portion with distal edges thereof being dimensioned such that with the cylindrical portion inserted into the metal wheel, contact between the alignment fins and an inner circumferential surface of the outer rim centers the wheel cover relative to the metal wheel.
