Abstract: An apparatus suitable for at least to: select a cell in a low activity state, and; in the case the selected cell is the same as a serving cell while carrying out a state change to the low activity state, transmit a radio connection resume request to the selected cell; or in the case the selected cell is another cell than the serving cell while carrying out a state change to the low activity state, transmit a radio resume request to the selected cell with information on the location of the user device provided the information on the location has not been transmitted in relation to a cell change carried out in the low activity state; receive, as a response to the radio connection resume request, a radio connection resume request response, and carry out a radio connection resume for the data transmission.

Abstract: A method is provided for controlling radio measurements of a user equipment within a cellular network system served by a cell of a first cell type characteristic, the cell being assigned to a base station, wherein the cellular network system comprises the cell and at least one further cell of a second cell type characteristic, the method including providing a configuration to the user equipment indicative for parameters to be applied for radio measurements including different parameters being assigned to different cell type characteristics for a same frequency, and controlling the radio measurements of the user equipment based on the provided configuration, wherein the configuration comprises a list comprising information of the at least one further cell and an associated cell type characteristic of the at least one further cell, and wherein the list comprises information about a plurality of neighboring cells and associated cell types characteristics.

A technique is provided for detecting, by a secondary base station (BS), a trigger condition in a wireless network, the wireless network including a mobile station (MS) that is connected to both a master base station (master BS) and a secondary base station (secondary BS), and sending a protocol data unit (PDU) status report from the secondary BS to the master BS in response to the secondary BS detecting the trigger condition, the PDU status report identifying one or more PDUs or portions thereof for further transmission to the MS.

Abstract: There is provided a solution for proactively transferring downlink data addressed to a terminal device from a data routing network element of a cellular communication system. According to an embodiment, a location of the terminal device is determined and an identifier associated with the determined location is delivered to the data routing network element. Then, the data routing network element may forward the downlink data towards the terminal device even before one or more services for the delivery of the downlink data to the terminal device have been completed.
