Consequently, the number of IC pins and the number of signal lines are reduced; therefore, an capsule endoscope is miniaturized, hardening of a board is prevented, and probability of disconnection of the signal lines is reduced.

The detection timing of the supply voltage can be controlled in this manner, and therefore the supply voltage can be detected at timing at which the load of function executing section is low, thereby enabling efficient voltage detection. The data transmitting portion controls the data transmitting ratio in accordance with the determining result of the determining portion.
