Abstract: An optical system includes a light guide member, a prism, and a plurality of light control bodies. The light guide member includes an incident surface on which light is incident, and a first surface and a second surface facing each other. In the light guide member, the second surface is an emission surface of light. The prism is provided on the first surface and reflects light passing through the light guide member toward the second surface. The plurality of light control bodies are positioned between light sources and the incident surface. The plurality of light control bodies control light rays output from the light sources and incident on the incident surface. Each of the plurality of light control bodies includes an incident lens. Each of the plurality of light control bodies causes the light incident on the incident lens from the light source to be incident on the incident surface.

Abstract: An optical system includes a light guide member and a plurality of prism pieces. The light guide member has an incident surface on which light is incident, and first and second surfaces facing each other, and the second surface is a light-emitting surface. The plurality of prism pieces are provided on the first surface and reflect the light passing through an inside of the light guide member toward the second surface. The plurality of prism pieces include two or more prism pieces having different inclination angles with respect to an incident surface depending on a position in at least a first direction along both the incident surface and the first surface. The inclination angles of two or more prism pieces are determined so that the light emitted from the second surface is directed to the outside or the inside of the first direction with respect to a reference light beam as the prism piece is positioned closer to both ends of the first surface in the first direction.

Abstract: An optical multiplexer includes: incident surface on which a plurality of incident light beams having different wavelengths are incident; first reflection portion that reflects the plurality of incident light beams; and emission surface that emits a plurality of reflected light beams reflected by the first reflection surface. The incident surface is provided with a plurality of adjacent condenser lenses corresponding to respective incident light beams. The first reflection surface has a plurality of adjacent reflection surfaces that reflect the light beams condensed by the condenser lenses. The plurality of reflection surfaces are respectively disposed so that angle β formed by the respective reflected light beams reflected by the adjacent reflection surfaces is smaller than angle α formed by the respective incident light beams condensed by the adjacent condenser lenses. The emission surface is provided with diffraction grating in which respective reflected light beams reflected by the plurality of reflection surfaces are incident at a same position and diffracted in a same direction.

Abstract: A multicolor display apparatus displays a design pattern by reflecting light beams which are incident into a light guide body by arrays of fine shapes and emitting the reflected light beams from the light emission surface, in which, when it is assumed that the gradation values of red, green, blue, and white at a point where a specific color (to be displayed) of the design pattern of the light guide body is displayed using red, green, blue, and white light are set as I(r). I(g). I(b), and I(w), respectively, and when it is assumed that the gradation values of red, green, and blue in the case of displaying a color close to the specific color using only red, green, and blue light without white light are set as Ir, Ig, and Ib, respectively, the fine shapes for each of red, green, blue, and white colors have a height or a pitch which corresponds to the gradation values I(r), I(g), I(b), and I(w) as follows: I(w)=min(Ir, Ig, Ib), ×A/100; I(r)=Ir−I(w); I(g)=Ig−I(w); I(b)=Ib−I(w). Here, A/100 is less than 1. Thus, it is possible to realize a beautiful white color and realize display which has high color reproducibility without influence due to a machining error and allows a user to feel beautiful.
