    Abstract: Provided is a composite member including: an inorganic matrix part made from an inorganic substance that includes at least one of a metal oxide or a metal oxide hydroxide as a main component, contains substantially no single metal and alloy, and is a diamagnetic substance or a paramagnetic substance; and a ferromagnetic material part that is present inside the inorganic matrix part, directly bonds with the inorganic substance making up the inorganic matrix part, and is made from a ferromagnetic substance. In the inorganic matrix part, particles of the inorganic substance are continuously present, and the inorganic matrix part has a larger volume ratio than that of the ferromagnetic material part.

    Abstract: Provided is an optical filter including: a matrix including an inorganic substance having a water solubility of 0.4 g/100 g-H2O or less; and a wavelength selective absorption material dispersed in the matrix. The optical filter absorbs an optical component having a wavelength of any band in a target wavelength band of 0.8 to 20 μm. A temperature at which a mass reduction rate of the wavelength selective absorption material is 10% by mass when heated in air from 100° C. at a rate of 10° C./min is 900° C. or less. An apparent density of the optical filter relative to a true density of the matrix is 70% or more. In the target wavelength band, a wavelength bandwidth where a linear transmittance per 1 mm thickness of the optical filter is 30% or more is 50 nm or more.

    Abstract: Provided is an inorganic structure including a plurality of zirconium silicate particles; and a binding part that covers a surface of each of the zirconium silicate particles and binds the zirconium silicate particles together. The binding part contains an amorphous compound containing silicon, a metallic element other than silicon, and oxygen, and contains substantially no alkali metal, B, V, Te, P, Bi, Pb and Zn. Also provided is a method for producing an inorganic structure including: a step for obtaining a mixture by mixing a plurality of zirconium silicate particles, a plurality of amorphous silicon dioxide particles, and an aqueous solution containing a metallic element other than silicon; and a step for pressurizing and heating the mixture under conditions of a pressure of 10 to 600 MPa and a temperature of 50 to 300° C.
