Abstract:
A window regulator cable tensioner includes a screw and nut assembly having an irreversible thread lead angle, a first spring to absorb reversible slack in the cable, and a second spring to actuate movement of the screw and nut assembly. The stiffness of the first spring is greater than the stiffness of the second spring. The cable tensioner absorbs the reversible slack in the cable differently from irreversible slack in the cable.
Abstract:
A latch assembly is provided, the latch assembly having: a chassis, a latch bolt having a closed position and an open position a pawl having an engaged position and a disengaged position an eccentric arrangement defining an eccentric axis and a pawl axis remote from the eccentric axis wherein when the pawl moves from the engaged position to the disengaged position the eccentric arrangement rotates about the eccentric axis to move the pawl axis from a first pawl axis position to a second pawl axis position, a retaining mechanism having a retaining position at which the pawl axis is held in the first pawl axis position and having a non-retaining position at which the pawl axis is allowed to move to the second pawl axis position, a release lever configured to move the retaining mechanism between the retaining position and the non-retaining position.
Abstract:
A slider for a vehicle window regulator includes a rail passage for a guide rail that runs in a “Z” direction and which guides the slider while the window is being raised and lowered. The slider includes a securing member that passes through a hole in a window glass for securing the window glass to the slider. The position at which the securing member and window glass are locked to the slider is adjustable in the “Z” direction. The slider allows adjustment to be readily performed and ensures the vehicle window glass has a good seal with a vehicle roof when the vehicle window glass is in the fully raised position, especially in a frameless door.
Abstract:
A vehicle window glass includes a side edge, a top edge which is oblique with respect to the side edge, and an adjustment feature for the window glass which extends in a direction substantially parallel to the top edge of the window glass. The adjustment feature can be an oblong hole in the window glass or a slideway bonded to the window glass. The window glass can be finely adjusted in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle, ensuring the top edge always follows the same oblique line. This reduces the number of steps involved in adjusting the window glass once installed in the vehicle.

Abstract:
This invention relates to a system for fixing a window regulator on a frameless door of a vehicle equipped with a fixed front window pane and a mobile rear pane, the front edge of the mobile pane being guided by a slideway which extends between the panes and of which the lower part is fixed in the door. The window regulator comprises a front rail and a rear rail parallel to the slideway, on which slide sliders displaced by cables actuated by a drive. The front rail is rigidly connected to the slideway in order to ensure parallelism between these two elements.
