摘要： A system to highlight the hair includes a device (10) and a composition (50). The device (10) includes a first portion movably joined to a second portion. Composition (50) includes a percentage of hydrogen peroxide and a percentage of an alkalizer by weight of the composition (50). The weight percentages of hydrogen peroxide and of an alkalizer are defined by equation (I): X+1.5Y≧15 (I). X is the percentage by weight of hydrogen peroxide by weight of the composition (50). Y is the percentage by weight of an alkalizer by weight of the composition (50). The composition (50) includes at least 2% of hydrogen peroxide by weight of the composition (50) and the alkalizer is an inorganic salt. The composition (50) allows to perform highlighting when applied with the device (10).

In the alternative or in combination, a hair instruction guide may be consulted, the guide having at least one strand size associated with one of the plurality of types of hair strand effects, and a strand of hair may be identified according to the at least one strand size. A system for creating a hair strand effect may include a hair strand effect product and such a hair instruction guide.

摘要： The instant disclosure generally relates to a dual component hair coloring composition for coloring mammalian or synthetic keratin fibers, the composition comprising composition A comprising a cationic polymer, pigment microparticles and an aqueous medium, and comprising composition B comprising an anionic polymer, aqueous medium and optional cross linking agent. Optionally or alternatively composition B may contain pigment particles. The cationic and anionic polymers are at least partially soluble in the medium and the pigment microparticles are dispersed therein. The hair coloring composition forms a dual layer coating upon application to keratin fibers such as hair and has a substantially permanent pigment lastingness following development (setting); minimally alters the keratin fibers, upon application; and substantially eliminates development time. Methods of using such compositions are also described herein.
