During the web drawing-in process; the individually incoming paper webs in a group of paper webs are conveyed smoothly to a folding mechanism at the end of the former. This is accomplished by using a number of upper and lower transport elements which are located above and next to each other at least inside the boundaries of the upper surface of the former. These upper and lower transport elements can be brought together and can be separated. They can be driven as desired.

The perforation roller has a plurality of axially spaced retractable perforation plungers. 摘要： Paper web sections which may have been produced by longitudinally cutting a wide paper web, and which are being fed in a production direction, are laterally shifted with respect to that production direction. The web sections are fed within a device for deflecting the paper webs transversely from the left and from the right, with respect to the machine production direction. Two upper 45° deflection devices are supported by lateral side frames and can be displaced horizontally transversely to the machine production direction. Each of these two upper deflection devices has a lower surface that lies in a horizontal plane and the two horizontal planes have different heights.

This signal information is scanned by signal reading devices and is forwarded to adjusting elements along the path of travel of the web through the press.
