Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a transmitting device may generate a frequency-domain-multiplexed signal by performing frequency domain multiplexing of a data signal and a reference signal within a symbol of a discrete Fourier transform spread orthogonal frequency domain multiplexing waveform communication, the reference signal being one of a demodulation reference signal, a sounding reference signal, or a channel state information reference signal. The transmitting device may transmit, to a receiving device, the frequency-domain-multiplexed signal. Numerous other aspects are described.

Abstract: The apparatus may be a reader device configured to transmit a first signal at a first frequency for a backscattering from an energy harvesting (EH) device over a plurality of frequencies, to receive, from an EH device, a backscatter signal over a plurality of frequencies based on a transmitted signal at a first frequency. The apparatus may further be configured to obtain channel state information (CSI) based on the backscattering of the first signal and to transmit an energy signal for the EH device via at least one frequency based on the CSI based on the backscatter signal. In an aspect of the disclosure, the apparatus may be an EH device configured to receive a transmitted signal at a first frequency and backscatter the transmitted signal over a plurality of frequencies and receive, from the reader, an energy signal based on the backscatter signal.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a transmitter may apply at least one of an amount of delay or an amount of Doppler shift to a signal transmission including a first signal for transmission from a first antenna and a second signal for transmission from a second antenna, wherein the second signal is shifted, relative to the first signal, in a delay-Doppler domain, by the at least one of the amount of delay or the amount of Doppler shift. The transmitter may output, in a time-frequency domain, the first signal from the first antenna and the second signal from a second antenna. Numerous other aspects are described.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for wireless communications by an apparatus. A method includes transmitting, to a user equipment (UE), an indication of a first frequency of a first signal and an indication of a second frequency of a backscattered signal corresponding to the first signal; transmitting the first signal; and receiving, from the UE, information encoded in the backscattered signal.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit a random access preamble according to a cyclic shift from a first set of cyclic shifts associated with a cyclic shift step size that is less than a round trip time (RTT) of a serving cell of the UE. The UE may generate the first set of cyclic shifts based on a second set of cyclic shifts and a set of cyclic shift offsets associated with an offset step size that is less than the RTT. If a network entity detects a collision between the random access preamble and another random access preamble, the network entity may transmit a collision resolution message indicating resources for the UE to retransmit the random access preamble. Alternatively, the network entity may proceed with the random access procedure by transmitting a random access response message to the UE.
