    Abstract: An apparatus equipped with multiple antenna panels for wireless communication is provided. The apparatus indicates a maximum supported number of uplink reference signal ports for multiple antenna panels associated with different TRPs to facilitate fast antenna panel selection for the apparatus. In some aspects, the apparatus transmits a plurality of capability value sets associated with at least two antenna panels, wherein each capability value set in the plurality of capability value sets indicates at least a different maximum number of uplink reference signal ports for an antenna panel of the at least two antenna panels. The apparatus further transmits a message indicating one or more of the plurality of capability value sets for a group of reference signal beams received from a plurality of TRPs.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A first wireless communication device may set parameter(s) corresponding to column(s) of a reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS) based on a periodic coding sequence. Based on the parameter(s), the first wireless communication device may transmit a first signal to a second wireless communication device in a first direction using a first harmonic frequency, and may transmit a second signal to a third wireless communication device in a second direction using a second harmonic frequency. The second wireless communication device may decode the first signal based on the periodic coding sequence and the first harmonic frequency, and the third wireless communication device may decode the second signal based on periodic coding sequence and the second harmonic frequency. The first wireless communication device may similarly set second parameter(s) of the RIS based on a second periodic coding sequence.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. To reduce peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) associated with transmissions in a wireless communications system, a user equipment (UE) may implement tone reservation techniques. The UE may receive downlink control information from a base station that indicates a set of allocated resources that the UE is to use for the tone reservation. The UE may identify a first set of tones of the set of allocated resources for transmitting a data signal and a second set of tones of the set of allocated resources for transmitting a peak-reduction signal that reduces the peak power of the data signal. The UE may transmit the data signal and the peak-reduction signal based on the received downlink control information.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for a user equipment (UE) to receive a message including transmission configuration indicator (TCI) states information associated with beam information for uplink or downlink resources. The UE may identify multiple channels or reference signals, or both, to which a TCI state is to be applied based on associated indications included with the TCI state information. In some examples, the TCI state information may also include indications of source reference signals for quasi co-location (QCL) assumptions for the indicated channels or reference signals. Based on applying the TCI state, the UE may determine beam information for uplink or downlink resources and may communicate with the base station accordingly.
