Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to accessing a channel based on an interference condition in a wireless communication network are provided. For example, a method of wireless communication performed by a wireless communications device may include receiving, from a second wireless communication device, one or more signals associated with a beam parameter, determining, at each of a plurality of locations, a signal measurement for at least one received signal of the one or more received signals, and determining, based at least in part on a cumulative distribution of the signal measurements at the plurality of locations and a reference probability distribution, whether the second wireless communication device satisfies an interference condition. Abstract: This disclosure provides wireless nodes, methods, apparatus, means plus and computer-readable mediums for randomly determining detection thresholds, such as energy detection (ED) thresholds, and then using such randomly determined thresholds to determine whether a channel is busy or idle when performing clear channel access (CCA). In some implementations, a new random detection threshold may be determined at a start of each backoff or each subsequent backoff slot. In some other implementations, a range of energy from which the detection threshold is randomly determined may depend on measurements of traffic activity, the number of MAC addresses observed or the priority of the traffic.

The apparatus determines whether a first channel of the plurality of channels, the first channel having a highest priority level, is occupied by short range wireless communication. If the first channel is occupied by the short range wireless communication, the apparatus determines availability of one or more remaining channels of the plurality of channels for a cellular device-to-device (D2D) communication, where the one or more remaining channels are different from the first channel.
