    Abstract: An apparatus and method of providing portable and personalized infotainment via an in-vehicle system of a vehicle from an infotainment content provider is provided. The method includes registering at least one mobile device with the in-vehicle system of the vehicle upon the at least one mobile device entering a defined location about the vehicle, receiving infotainment content at the at least one registered mobile device via the in-vehicle system of the vehicle while the at least one registered mobile device is within the defined location about the vehicle, and receiving the infotainment content at the at least one registered mobile device via another network upon the at least one mobile device leaving the defined location about the vehicle.
