Abstract: A manifold trailer and pairing system are disclosed. Methods may include pressurizing a low pressure manifold of a manifold trailer, the low pressure manifold having a first low pressure valve and a second low pressure valve; opening a selected low pressure valve of the first and second low pressure valves; detecting a first pressure on a selected pump, via a first pressure sensor, indicative of a fluid communication between the selected low pressure valve and the selected pump; detecting a second pressure associated with a main line or a wellhead; comparing the first pressure on the selected pump to the second pressure associated with the main line or the wellhead to derive a pressure differential; and engaging the selected pump if the pressure differential exceeds a given threshold.

Abstract: A manifold trailer and pairing system are disclosed. The pairing system has a non-transitory computer readable medium storing processor executable code. The processor executable code causes a processor to receive identification data indicative of a first low pressure valve and a second low pressure valve connected to a low pressure manifold of a manifold trailer; receive identification data indicative of a first high pressure valve and a second high pressure valve connected to a high pressure manifold of the manifold trailer; and receive identification data indicative of a plurality of pumps. The processor determines a first association indicative of a first fluid connection between the first low pressure valve and a selected pump and a second association indicative of a second fluid connection between the selected pump and a selected high pressure valve. The processor populates the non-transitory computer readable medium with information indicative of the first and second associations.

Abstract: A multi-tank system for preparing fluids for hydraulic fracturing of reservoirs and methods of injecting the prepared fluid upstream from pumping units are disclosed. The multi-tank system allows for a proppant slurry to be continuously formed and mixed with a proppant carrier in staggered phases to form a fracturing fluid. This fracturing fluid can then be injected into the reservoir at normal injection pressures, thus reducing wear and downtime on the blender, and allowing continuous flow of proppant.
