摘要: A terminal-protecting-board type connector comprises: a first connector housing into which male terminals are inserted; a terminal protecting board set in the first connector housing; a second connector housing in which female terminals are inserted; and an engaging simple bolt and tightening nut for engaging the first and second connector housings to each other. The terminal protecting board includes a flat plate having terminal supporting holes and extraction holes in correspondence to the terminal accommodating holes of the first connector housing, a pair of locking pieces formed on the rear surface of the flat plate, and a pair of hook pieces formed on the front surface of the flat plate. The first connector housing has a pair of temporary locking ears on the inner surfaces to temporarily lock the terminal protecting board and a pair of locking holes with which the locking pieces of the terminal protecting board are engaged. With this connector, it can be readily detected whether or not the end portions of the male terminals are deformed when inserted into the connector housing, the end portions of the main terminals are positively protected until the engagement of the connector housings has been achieved, and the male terminals can be extracted without removal of the terminal protecting board.

摘要: A pressure contact terminal (50) comprises: a main body (60) having an elongate main base plate (61), a pair of two front side plates (62) and a pair of two middle side plates (64) both formed by bending both sides of the main base plate; and a spring member (70) having a spring base plate (71), a spring piece (72) formed by turning down a front end of the spring base plate, and at least one pressure contact plate (74) formed by bending a rear end of the spring base plate at a right angle so as to be connected to wire conductor. After the spring member has been assembled with the main body, the two front side plates (62) being further bent into a box shape to form a male terminal pressure contact portion in cooperation with the spring piece (72) of the spring member (70). Since the spring piece (72) and the pressure contact plate (74) are formed integral with each other by the single spring member (70 ) of high elasticity, a male terminal can be pressure-connected to the wire conductor via only the single spring member (70), so that the electric contact reliability can be improved. Further, the spring member (70) can be manufactured simply through only bending process.

摘要: In a first housing accommodating a female terminal, there is provided a front wall defining an insert opening into which a male terminal accommodated in a second housing is inserted. The first housing includes a first slope defining the insert opening for guiding the distal end of the male terminal in the second housing toward a fitting part of the female terminal into which the male terminal is fitted and an inside wall for encompassing the female terminal and for defining an escape room around the female terminal. Also, the first housing includes a second slope in the front wall which extends from the open end of the insert opening toward the escape room for guiding the male terminal in the second housing toward the escape room when the male terminal is deformed and does not enter the insert opening.

摘要: Disclosed is a terminal retainer mounted on a rear portion of a connector housing so as to move in a two-stage manner, that is, between a provisionally-connected condition and a completely-connected condition, and in the completely-connected condition the terminal retainer can be positively engaged with metal terminals. Flexible support pieces for metal terminals are provided on a terminal retainer. A flexible retaining piece for the metal terminal is provided at each terminal receiving chamber. In the provisionally-connected condition of the terminal retainer, the flexible support piece is placed on a push-up projection of the connector housing to be held out of a path of movement of the metal terminal within the terminal receiving chamber. When the terminal retainer shifts to the completely-connected condition, a driven projection on the flexible support piece is engaged in a drive groove in the connector housing to forcibly drive the flexible support piece into engagement with the metal terminal.

摘要: An improved connector terminal is provided that is capable of being inserted more easily into a terminal accommodating chamber of a connector housing.The connector terminal comprises a wire connecting part and an electric contact part that may be inserted into the terminal accommodating chamber of a connector housing having an opening edge. The electric contact part includes a rectangular cylindrical body having two pairs of opposing walls for a total of four walls and a guide protrusion protruding continually from the tip of at least one of the four walls of the body. The guide protrusion has a guide surface that slides along the opening edge of the connector housing when the electric contact part is inserted into the terminal accommodating chamber. The guide protrusion is structured to protrude from one of the four walls so as to have substantially the same width as the wall width or structured so that a bent guide surface is formed by extending and bending tips of at least two of the four walls that have a width smaller than the width of the respective wall.

摘要: A connector is made up of a connector housing including terminal accommodating chambers each of which has a first flexible locking piece for locking a metal terminal; and a terminal locking member which is engaged with the connector housing temporarily and finally, and which has second flexible locking pieces provided for locking the metal terminals in the terminal accommodating chambers, respectively. Each of the second flexible locking pieces has a locking protrusion which, when the metal terminal is inserted in a reverse way, is engaged with the protrusion of the metal terminal, or each of the second flexible locking pieces is adapted to push, when the metal terminal is inserted in a reverse way, the metal terminal against the wall of the terminal accommodating chamber, to interrupt the insertion of the metal terminal. Each terminal accommodating chamber may hve a terminal guide to smoothly guide the metal terminal thereinto.
