Abstract: Provided is a bidirectional electrical connection plug, which can be inserted and connected to a bidirectional electrical connection socket. A connection slot of the bidirectional electrical connection socket is provided with a tongue. Two symmetrical spaces are formed on the two connection surfaces of the tongue in the connection slot. The bidirectional electrical connection plug comprises an insulating base, a metal housing and a fitting portion. The fitting portion has two contact interface substrates. Heights of the two contact interface substrates are smaller than a fitting interface substrate of a standard electrical connection plug with a minimum height specification specified by USB Association, and larger than a small space of a connection slot of a standard electrical connection socket with the minimum height specification specified by USB Association. The heights of the two contact interface substrates can be tightly fit with the two spaces.

Abstract: Systems and methods of providing multi-voltage power over USB are disclosed. In one exemplary embodiment, a USB receptacle device includes upper and lower receptacle connection portions and a mechanical key structure. Each portion has a set of longitudinal contacts composed of a conducting material. Further, one of the set of longitudinal contacts of the lower receptacle connection portion is configured to provide a first voltage and two of the set of longitudinal contacts of the upper receptacle connection portion are configured to provide second and third voltages, with the second and third voltages being different voltages. The mechanical key structure is disposed in the upper receptacle connection portion and has a set of longitudinal keys configured in a certain key arrangement. Each key arrangement represents a certain assignment of the second and third voltages provided at the two of the set of longitudinal contacts of the upper receptacle connection portion.

Abstract: An arrangement for charging of electric vehicles includes a charging connector and a charging cable. The connector includes a connector body with first and second zones, the two zones being separate from each other. The first zone hosts a mating interface with electrical contacts for mating the connector with a corresponding socket of an electric vehicle. The electrical contacts are electrically coupled to the cable. The second zone includes a tube in which the cable is guided from an opening of the tube, which is arranged on that side of the second zone that faces away from the first zone to the electrical contacts, which are located in the first zone, and a handle for grabbing the connector with a human hand, the handle being separate from the tube. The second zone is Y-shaped where the tube is formed by one upper leg and the lower of the Y.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to connectors for high density neural interfaces and methods of microfabricating the connectors. Particularly, aspects of the present disclosure are directed to a connector having a core and a supporting structure wrapped around at least a portion of the core. The supporting structure may have a first layer of a high temperature liquid crystal polymer, and the second layer of a low temperature liquid crystal polymer that is reflowed to attach the supporting structure to the core. Conductive traces are buried between the first layer and the second layer, and the conductive traces terminate at conductive contacts formed on a surface of the first layer. The connector may have a predetermined shape or profile, which facilitates alignment and insertion of the connector into a header of a neurostimulator.

Abstract: A docking accessory platform adapted to couple to a mobile electronic device includes a docking connector magnetic attachment system formed beneath an external back surface of the platform and configured to form detachable magnetic attachments to compatible docking accessories. The docking connector magnetic attachment system has an annular shape and comprises a magnetic element. The platform further includes an internal back portion opposite the external back surface of the platform, where the internal back portion contacts a back surface of the mobile electronic device when coupled to the mobile electronic device. The platform further a side portion that extends around at least a portion of a side of the mobile electronic device adjacent to the back surface of the mobile electronic device when the platform is coupled to the mobile electronic device. The platform allows wireless power transfer with the mobile electronic device through the external back surface and the internal back portion when the platform is coupled to the mobile electronic device.

Abstract: A magnetic latching connector for making electrical connections between cables, electrical power and signal sources, equipment and the like in a variety of medical and other applications in which it is desired to have the connection maintained with a predetermined amount of magnetic attractive force. The magnetic latching connector generally includes male and female connector components. The male and female connector components comprise male and female couplings and male and female coupling housings. The male and female coupling housings enclose electrical connections between the male and female couplings and electrical cables. Recessed within the male and female couplings are electrically conductive pins and sockets and male and female magnetic latching elements. When the male and female connector components are coupled, the pins and sockets provide electrical connections and the recessed magnetic latching elements provide a predetermined magnetic attraction force to maintain the connections.

Abstract: An apparatus for conductive charging has a vehicle part fixed on a vehicle and a fixed robot part movable relative to the vehicle part the parts being fittable together for charging. Respective sets of vehicle and robot contacts are provided in housing the robot and vehicle parts. The robot contacts in the robot part are recessed in the housing of the robot part and the vehicle contacts are nonmovably mounted in the housing of the vehicle part. A robot base carries the robot contacts of the robot part. A contact tab extends from the robot base. A vehicle base carries the contacts of the vehicle part and is formed by a plurality of base sections surrounding a cylindrical sleeve. A contact spring extends from between two of the base sections of the vehicle base.
