    Abstract: A display device includes a display panel including a gate line, a data line, a gate driver outputting a gate signal to the gate line, a data driver outputting a data voltage to the data line and a power voltage generator. The power voltage generator generates a gate-on voltage, a gate-off voltage, and a gate clock signal toggled between the gate-on voltage and the gate-off voltage, detects a current level of a gate clock current, cuts off power of the display device when a count of the gate clock current higher than or equal to a first current level is greater than or equal to a reference count, and cuts off the power of the display device when the gate clock current is higher than or equal to a second current level higher than the first current level in an initial frame after the display device is turned on.

    Abstract: A display apparatus including: a plurality of pixels receiving data voltages in response to gate signals; a drive circuit generating a power voltage and a control signal; a gate driver operating with the power voltage, generating the gate signals and a dummy gate signal in response to the control signal, and supplying the dummy gate signal to the drive circuit; and a data driver operating with the power voltage and generating the data voltages in response to the control signal. The drive circuit measures a temperature of the drive circuit, and a voltage and a current at an output node of the drive circuit generating the power voltage. The measured temperature, voltage and current, and the dummy gate signal are stored in the drive circuit in a predetermined order. This information can be used to detect error states that the display can indicate and use to protect itself from damage.

    Abstract: A display device includes a display panel including data lines, line capacitors respectively connected to the data lines, and pixels receiving a data voltage from the data lines, and a data driver supplying the data voltage to the pixels through the data lines and supplying different charging voltages respectively to the line capacitors through the data line. The data driver senses voltage change of at least one of the data lines occurring in case that at least one of the line capacitors is charged or discharged.

    Abstract: A display device includes a display panel including a pixel including a light emitting element emitting light and electrically connected to a data line and a sensing line, a timing controller varying a driving frequency of the display panel based on an input frequency of digital video data, and a data driver supplying a data voltage to the data line based on the digital video data during a data addressing period of a frame period and receiving a sensing signal from the sensing line during a sensing period. The data driver electrically connects the sensing line to an initialization voltage line during the data addressing period in case that the digital video data is changed, and electrically connects the sensing line to a high impedance during the data addressing period in case that the digital video data is not changed.

    Abstract: A display device includes a display unit including pixels coupled to scan lines and data lines, a data driver which supplies a data signal to pixels through the data lines, a scan driver which generates a scan signal using a first scan voltage and a second scan voltage, and supplying the scan signal to the pixels through the scan lines, a processor which generates first scan voltage information by setting a first scan voltage level, based on an ambient temperature of the display device, a timing controller which generates a power control signal using the first scan voltage information and delta voltage information, and a power supply which generates the first scan voltage and a delta voltage using the power control signal, and generates the second scan voltage by dropping the delta voltage from the first scan voltage.
