    Abstract: A method of driving a display panel includes determining whether an input data signal represents a video image or a static image, determining whether the input data signal has a color difference generating pattern and outputting an output data signal. The output data signal has a first frequency if the input data signal represents a video image. The output data signal has the first frequency if the input data signal represents a static image and the input data signal includes the color difference generating pattern. The output data signal has a second frequency lower than the first frequency if the input data signal represents a static image and the input data signal does not include the color difference generating pattern.

    Abstract: A display device includes: a display unit including a plurality of pixels and a plurality of division areas; a data driver configured to apply a data signal corresponding to image data to the display unit, and to control a slew rate of the data signal, based on a bias voltage; and a bias controller configured to control the data driver so that the slew rate of the data signal is changed for each division area, based on a luminance variation of the image data corresponding to each of the division areas.
