    Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for dynamic beam indication and switching in a wireless communication system. A method performed by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving, in downlink control information (DCI), at least a first DCI field to indicate a first transmission configuration indication (TCI) codepoint and receiving radio resource control (RRC) signaling including a first parameter indicating whether a second DCI field indicating a second TCI codepoint is present in the DCI. The method further includes identifying, based on the first parameter, a presence or absence of the second DCI field in the DCI and identifying, based on the first and second DCI fields, a set of a first TCI state and a second TCI state. The first DCI field is a TCI field, and the second DCI field uses one or more bits of one or more existing DCI fields in the DCI.

    Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for indication of dynamic beam switching via downlink control information (DCI) in a wireless communication system. A method includes receiving radio resource control (RRC) signaling including a parameter indicating a first group of transmission configuration indication (TCI) states and a second group of TCI states; receiving, in a first DCI, a first indicator and a TCI state update; and receiving, in a second DCI, a second indicator. The method further includes determining, based on the first indicator, whether the TCI state update belongs to a first TCI state from the first group of TCI states or a second TCI state from the second group of TCI states; and identifying, based on the second indicator, the first TCI state or the second TCI state to be used for receiving a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) or transmitting a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH).

    Abstract: Apparatuses and methods for beam reporting operations. A method for operating a user equipment (UE) includes receiving an indication for reporting, in a channel state information (CSI) reporting instance, one or more resource indicators and corresponding beam metrics associated with a first physical cell identity (PCI) or a second PCI and receiving a set of reference signals (RSs) for determining the one or more resource indicators and corresponding beam metrics. The method further includes measure one or more RSs in the set of RSs; determining, based on the measured one or more RSs in the set of RSs, the one or more resource indicators and corresponding beam metrics; and transmitting, in the CSI reporting instance, the one or more resource indicators and corresponding beam metrics associated with the first or second PCIs. The second PCI is different from a serving cell PCI.
