Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for reproducing a moving image that may improve user convenience by providing information regarding the moving image to enable a user to conveniently and easily manipulate the apparatus. An image reproducing apparatus includes: a moving image reproducing unit for reproducing a moving image; and an overlapping area providing unit for displaying related information regarding the moving image on one or more overlapping areas displayed on a moving image reproducing screen, wherein the one or more overlapping areas are movable and manipulable by a user's input.
