Abstract: An electronic device includes a touch screen display; a pressure sensing circuit; a fingerprint sensing circuit at least partially overlapped with the pressure sensing circuit; a wireless communication circuit; at least one processor; and a memory electrically connected with the processor, wherein the memory stores instructions that, when executed, cause the processor to detect a touch input through the touch screen display and a pressure input through the pressure sensing circuit, in a first state of the electronic device, in which the finger print sensing circuit is deactivated; activate the fingerprint sensing circuit in response to the touch input or the pressure input; detect a fingerprint of a finger of a user by using the fingerprint sensing circuit while detecting pressure of the finger of the user to the first plate; and induce the electronic device to become in a second state or third state based at least partially on the detected pressure.

Abstract: An electronic device and method are disclosed herein. The electronic device includes a display, a biometric sensor, and at least one processor. The processor implements the method, including: when a touch input is detected to the display within the biometric sensing area, increase a brightness of a first pixel group within the biometric sensing area to a first brightness level, and execute at least one of maintaining and changing display of a second pixel group outside the biometric sensing area and, wherein the at least one of maintaining and changing display of the second pixel group includes one of: executing a black state in which display through the second pixel group is disabled, and changing a display attribute for the second pixel group such that a load on the second pixel group is reduced.

Abstract: An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a housing including at least one opened surface, a touchscreen display at least a portion of which is exposed through the opened surface of the housing, and a pressure sensor disposed between the touchscreen display and the housing. The pressure sensor includes a first electrode plate having a first size and a first shape, a second electrode plate having a size and a shape that are the same as or similar to the first size and the first shape and facing the first electrode plate, a dielectric layer disposed in a first area between the first electrode plate and the second electrode plate, and a waterproof member disposed in a second area corresponding to a peripheral area of the first area and at least partially enclosing a space between the first electrode plate and the second electrode plate.
