The electrolyte includes a compound represented by Formula 1 below; a nonaqueous organic solvent; and a lithium salt: wherein, in Formula 1, R1, R2, R3, and R4 are each independently a unsubstituted or substituted C1-C20 alkoxy group, a unsubstituted or substituted C1-C20 alkoxyalkyleneoxy group, a unsubstituted or substituted C6-C20 aryloxy group, or R—O—C(═O)— where R is a C1-C20 alkyl group, a C6-C20 aryl group, or a C1-C20 fluoroalkyl group.
