Abstract:
A radio frequency IC tag is attached to an image capturing apparatus. The radio frequency IC tag stores access information for permitting access to the image capturing apparatus through a network. In this state, a reproducing apparatus (e.g., a digital TV or a printer) transmits a predetermined command to the image capturing apparatus based on the access information received from the radio frequency IC tag. In response to the predetermined command, the image capturing apparatus transmits image data to the reproducing apparatus. The reproducing apparatus then receives the image data from the image capturing apparatus, and visibly outputs the image data.
Abstract:
A digital data searching apparatus is provided with a data storage for storing digital data and first and second attribute data representing conditions on which the respective digital data were created; a first classifying device for classifying the digital data into i sets based on the first attribute data; a second classifying device for classifying the digital data into j sets based on the second attribute data; a first selecting device for selecting one set from the i sets upon receiving an input from outside; a second selecting device for selecting one set from the j sets upon receiving an input from outside; an extracting device for calculating a product set of the set selected by the first selecting device and the set selected by the second selecting device, and a display controller for displaying the digital data included in the product set on a display device. Digital data satisfying a specified condition can be efficiently searched from a plurality of digital data.
Abstract:
An image is displayed on a monitor after recognizing, based on 3-D data obtained by measuring an object in three dimensions, an error region which is an unmeasurable portion of the object in a measured range. A partial image is extracted corresponding to the error region from a 2-D image obtained by imaging the object. Then the partial image is highlighted on the display. This allows the operator to elect to use, or not, the image in forming a 3-D model of the imaged object, e.g., the face of the operator.
Abstract:
A printing environment is provided, in which the user can obtain prints of special print jobs without stagnation of ordinary print jobs which otherwise might be caused by the loading of a special print job requiring manual sheet feed or sheet change. A controller for managing the print job schedule is operated in such a manner that print jobs J1 designating ordinary paper are routinely carried out in priority over print jobs J2 requiring special paper. Upon instruction from an operation input unit, at least one of the previously-loaded print jobs J2 requiring special paper is carried out in priority over the print jobs J1 designating ordinary paper.
Abstract:
In image data retrieval, image data that becomes the base of search is specified. When the search is to be carried out according to the distance from the image data on an image map, an automatic setting process of retrieval information is carried out. Here, a keyword, icon, chromaticity and the like of that image data are automatically set as retrieval information. The position of that image data on the image map becomes the center of a range when the ambiguity is set. By setting the ambiguity of the image map, keyword, icon, chromaticity, and the like in this state, the range of ambiguity is displayed, and image data within that range is automatically retrieved. As a result, analogous image data can be searched for according to subtle and ambiguous information or information that cannot be quantified.
