摘要: This technology relates to optimizing location and orientation information of an image using known locations of places captured within the image. For example, an image and associated pose data including the image's orientation and location may be received. One or more places captured within the image may be determined, with each place having a respective known location. The image may be annotated with the one or more places. A difference between each annotation and its respective known location to obtain updated pose data of the image may be minimized and the associated pose data may be updated to the updated pose data.

摘要: This disclosure describes methods and systems for providing instructions automatically to a user that return the status of an electronic device to a preferred functioning state. In a training stage, imagery of electronic devices with known device states are acquired and stored in a database, along with instructions to return the state of each electronic device to a preferred functioning state. In a diagnostic stage, imagery of a first electronic device is acquired and compared to imagery of the electronic devices in different states in the database. A proximity measure between each of the electronic devices in different states in the database, and the first electronic device is computed. The most likely states of the first device are determined based on the proximity measure. The instructions to return the state of the electronic device to a preferred functioning state are then displayed to a user on a screen display module.

摘要: A focusing adjustment apparatus includes a focusing unit, a first acquisition unit, a second acquisition unit, and a control unit. The focusing unit outputs a first signal for a focusing operation. The first acquisition unit acquires first information, which is related to characteristics of a signal used for outputting the first signal, and second information, which is related to characteristics of a captured image and is predetermined. The second acquisition unit acquires third information on aberrations of an imaging optical system. The control unit calculates a correction value based on the first information, the second information, and the third information. By using the correction value, the control unit changes the first signal, output from the focusing unit, to a second signal used in the focusing operation.

摘要: An information processing apparatus that acquires captured image data; determines whether a position determining unit of the information processing apparatus detects a location of the information processing apparatus; controls a user interface to prompt a user to enter information when it is determined that a location of the information processing apparatus has not been detected; and receives location information that is extracted based on a user input received at the user interface in response to the prompt.

摘要: A method of camera pose estimation is provided that includes capturing a model image of a scene at a canonical camera pose, generating an image library from warped images of the model image and the model image, wherein each warped image is a transformation of the model image at a different pre-determined camera pose, capturing an image of the scene as a user moves the camera, reporting the current camera pose as a camera pose of the image when the image is acceptable, conditionally adding the first image to the image library when the first image is acceptable, and re-initializing the current camera pose to a camera pose selected from the image library when the first image is not acceptable.

摘要: A solid-state image pickup device including a lens, a first light receiving element, a second light receiving element, and an element separation area. The first light receiving element is configured to receive light from the lens. The second light receiving element is configured to receive light from the lens. The element separation area is between the first light receiving element and the second light receiving element. The lens has an optical axis, which is offset from a center of the element separation area.

摘要: A method for proactively creating a photobook includes identifying a group of images by a computer system and automatically creating a design for a photobook by the computer system without receiving a user's request for designing a photobook if the number of images in the group is determined to be within a predetermined range. Pages of the photobook incorporate a plurality of images in the group. The method further includes presenting the design of the photobook to a user for preview and receiving an order from the user for a physical manifestation of the photobook based on the design.

摘要: An onboard control device that is installed at a vehicle acquires land mark information including position information of a landmark which can be recognized on a road in which the vehicle is estimated to travel by a camera, a landmark image for recognition, a recognition evaluation value that represents ease of the recognition successfully performed and so on, and selects a landmark to be a subject for recognition based on the recognition evaluation value included in the landmark information. The onboard control device further evaluates the recognition results of the landmark to be a subject for recognition, and transmits the recognition results to the server with the landmark image recognized by the camera. The server aggregates the recognition evaluation results of the landmark and the recognized images and reflects them in the recognition evaluation values for the landmark information and landmark images to be transmitted to the onboard control device.
