摘要： A tilt adjusting mechanism adjusts a tilt of at least one of a plurality of objective lenses arranged to face an optical disc so that they have the same inclination state. The tilt adjusting mechanism includes a lens retaining cylinder to which an objective lens to be a target of the tilt adjustment is fixed, and a protector member to which the lens retaining cylinder is fixed from a slidable state for the tilt adjustment. In addition, as a surface for sliding movement of the lens retaining cylinder with respect to the protector member, there is provided a sliding surface that is a part of a spherical surface having a center that is a principal point of the objective lens or its adjacent, and the protector member has a portion protruding toward the optical disc so as to prevent a collision between the objective lens and the optical disc.
