Abstract: Provided herein are systems and methods for an efficient method of replicating share objects to remote deployments. An example method includes receiving, at a first deployment in a data exchange, a refresh message from a second deployment in the data exchange, wherein the first deployment comprises a database that stores a database object. The method also includes, in response to receiving the refresh message, retrieving, at the first deployment, a share grant from a share object of the first deployment and transmitting, by a processing device of the first deployment, a message including the share grant to the second deployment. The share grant includes a reference to the database object and allows a consumer to use the database object.

Abstract: A method of implementing sub-table replication starts with the processor detecting an update to an entitlements table. The processor performs filtering of a data table based on the update to the entitlements table. The data table including an entitlements column. The processor detects an update to the entitlements column and performs incremental replication of the data table by causing a version-based replication to be executed. Other embodiments are also described herein.

The method may also include granting access the data listings, gathering consumer information based queries provided to data associated with the data listings, generating a new share comprising the consumer information, and granting access of the new share to the data provider that provided the data listing.

Abstract: Systems and methods for managing membership in a private data exchange are provided herein. In one embodiment, the method includes adding a member to a data exchange. The data exchange comprises a set of listings. The method includes providing a set of rights to the member for accessing the set of listings and modifying the set of rights of the member with respect to a listing from the set of listings based on a set of access rules for the listing. The method further includes providing access to a portion of the data of the listing that is filtered based on the set of rights as modified.

Abstract: Sharing data in a data exchange across multiple cloud computing platforms and/or cloud computing platform regions is described. An example computer-implemented method can include receiving data sharing information from a data provider for sharing a data set in a data exchange from a first cloud computing entity to a set of second cloud computing entities. In response to receiving the data sharing information, the method may also include creating an account with each of the set of second cloud computing entities. The method may also further include sharing the data set from the first cloud computing entity with the set of second cloud computing entities using at least the corresponding account of that second cloud computing entity.

Abstract: A data warehouse storing databases for a plurality of users, including service providers hosting data for other users of the data warehouse may implement a data exchange. A provider of data creates a listing in the exchange including metadata. A consumer browses the metadata and select a listing to add to consumed shares of the consumer. Browsing may be filtered to implement a private exchange. Adding of data may be limited by access controls requiring verification of the consumer's identity. The added data may be filtered to include only data that relates to the consumer. Sharing may be bi-directional such that a request to add a listing for first data of a provider may also reference second data of the consumer such that the first data is added to the consumed shares of the consumer and the second data is added to the consumed shares of the provider.
