Abstract:
A portable radiographic imaging system allowing multiple X-rays to be taken from various exposure positions and perspectives without having to move or reposition the patient. The imaging system may include a direct radiography system providing immediate processing and availability of the X-ray images that allows for the immediate evaluation and diagnosis. The imaging system includes a diagnostic imaging table for supporting and positioning a patient. A radiography imaging system is coupled to the imaging table and can be positioned as desired depending on the desired position and perspective of the X-Rays so as to receive the X-rays. The radiography device processes the X-ray energy into images that can be displayed in an integral monitor to allow for the immediate triage and diagnosis of the patient or product.
Abstract:
The present invention is directed to a modular scanning apparatus that can be advantageously used in both computed radiology devices and fixed scanning direct radiology devices. The scanning assembly advantageously utilizes a light collecting and measuring assembly having highly reflective surfaces in conjunction with a novel optical assembly within a light box type enclosure to enable a modular scanning and reading assembly that is compact, robust and also scaleable. The present invention further discloses novel computed radiography and direct radiography devices that utilize the modular scanning assembly to provide radiology devices that are highly robust and efficient and yet also simple to build, maintain, service and repair.
Abstract:
The invention provides a cassette enclosure having an energy translucent portion for supporting an imaging plate. The cassette is adapted for use with a computed radiography device wherein an image set forth on the imaging plate can be scanned without removing the plate from the cassette.
Abstract:
Embodiments include a method and apparatus for improving the reusability of a computed radiography (CR) plate by housing it in a cassette. The CR plate remains in the cassette during scanning. The embodiments of the method and apparatus improve the reusability of the CR plate.
Abstract:
An autofeeder and media object digitization system. A receptacle for media objects is coupled to align a first wall with a clip to hold the media object. A suction device forming part of the first wall sucks a media object against a suction plate. The suction plate then moves the media object into engagement with the clip. The clip is driven to move the media object past a scanning window. A release lever or the clip is triggered to release the media object after it has passed the scanning window.
